Chapter 27 - Love and War

Shino's P.O.V
There stood the enemies, the wretched men that have continued to make my life a living hell.

Frostbite, Rain and the metal Manipulator ( I'm just going to start call that metal manipulator M.M for short) looking mischievous and psychotic.

I took a step in front of Artemis, arm out in front of him, ready for batttle. I look to my side and see Rikku with Shizu, both looking terrified as they stare in disbelief at the once thought to be blown up supervillain. On my other side, Jack and Blake side by side, ready to take on anything in each other's way.

" we had a feeling that you guys would be able to take out our more minions. So we devised a few backups" M.M threatened.

The ground and walls began to shake, cause Rikku and I to fall to the ground. Pieces of metal or metal objects began to rise into the air, Rain snatching a piece and welding it like a knife. The ice manipulator suddenly turned its attention on Jack and Blake. Rain did so to on Rikku and Shizu. Then, M.M made eye contact just with me, giving me a venomous smirk as the three vile things changed at us.

Rikku's P.O.V

Me and Shizu gripped hands as our arch nemesis charged at his, knife wielding. We broke apart as pounced in the center between us, causing him to fall to the floor. On the ground, he picked up the knife and projectile threw it at Shizu. Luckily, with their fast reflexes, they were able to suspend the slick piece of metal and thin air, allowing it to loose it momentum and fall to the floor as well.

With Rain still on the ground weaponless, Shizu took the opportunity and charged at him, their fist raised. They punched him in the eye, then the gut, causing him to roll of his back. As Shizu jumped on top of their opponent, Rain brought a surprise attack and kicked them in the chest, causing Shizu to go flying backwards and into a wall.

This whole time, I was defenseless, just starring at Shizu who once had the upper hand, know nearly unconscious. That familiar venomous electricity ran through my limbs and muscles as I watched. A crazy and suicidal thought piped into my mind.

While Rain has his attention on Shizu's injured form, I pounced on his back, he hunched forward due to the added weight, but kept his feet on the ground

" so you children think that you can be the heroes huh? That you can save your friends and save the day? That you are a worthy opponent to me? Well let's see about that!" I suddenly felt an intense feeling in the side of my torso. Over and over again, but I kept my grip around his back. I closed my eyes not just to ignore the pain, but to concentrate. I felt myself heating up, my energy building to where it would blow up, just I plan to.

" wait? What are you doing? WHAT ARE TOU DOING?!" I felt myself start to shake as the potential energy to explode was soon becoming maximum. I began to scream, the pain in my torso and the anger boiling in my veins. Then I bright flash of light, a loud sound, and then.... Darkness.

Blake's P.O.V
What is with this guy, it's like he is the opposite version of me!

Every time I would throw and fire ball, or a stream of flames, he could counter with ice and cold wind. But me and Jack had a plan, while I kept Frosty over here busy, Jack wound sneak up behind and take him out from there.

We fought back and forth, countering attacks and blowing the area in front of us to smithereens. Then, Frostbite stopped and began to speak

" this is an interesting battle, Isn't it? Fire versus ice, a constant war between each other. One subduing over the other eventually, back and forth throughout time and life." I gave him a curious look, pretending to be interested, while Jack was only a few feet away from him.
