Artemis P.O.V

I approached the old, worn down home for I have known my entire life. From when I was just a toddler, to my last day. A large family, yet no one related in blood. I had several brothers and sisters and one parental figure.

I was at the orphanage. Thought it was a good time to visit.

Sadly it was late at night so the kids were probably asleep, but that's not who I wanted to talk to. Quietly, I knock on the oak door to my childhood home, and after a minute, I was met with the same lovely red headed woman who was like my mother.

" Artemis?! Oh my goodness it's good to see you! How have you been young one?" Mrs. Rose asked, I gave her a small smile " just wanted to see how you guys are doing" I answer in a small voice. Mrs. Rose looked so happy and cheerful, it reminded me of all that she has done for me.

" well come on in Artemis, we can sit down in my office." She offers as she opens the door a little wider for me to come in.

She leads me to her office and we sit down at her desk. We talk about my life there, what I was like when I was little, how much has changed when I left. And I report about my life, all the friends I have, learning more about my quirk, and how I got in touch with Patron. I think it's what talking to relatives after not seeing them for years is like. Soon Mrs. Rose seems to catch the tension I am emitting

" you seem to have something on your mind Artemis, what's troubling you?" She asked in a soft, quiet voice. I looked down at my feet, I didn't want to reveal all of this madness I have endured since Shino's disappearance. But I don't know who else to talk to, I sigh

" I came to you because I need advice. About a little over a week ago, a.... Friend of mine got in some trouble along with their friends, and now they need my help along with my other friends." I begin, I look to Mrs. Rose as she listens closely, picking up on every detail, she nods for me to continue and I do

" but apparently, what my really close friend was into, was rather dangerous. And now me and my friends have to prepare to meet a fate just as dangerous as they did. But what scares me the most is that they see me as a leader of this group, and Mrs. Rose, I don't feel like a leader, if anything the opposite." I conclude.

She stares at me for a while, figuring out what to say. Then her voice rises through the awkward Silence

" I don't know Artemis, it sounds dangerous. But I kind of figured that if you were doing something this intense, it had to be for the betterment of another." She begins, I look to her in confusion, a small care filled and worried smile is on her face

" that's what makes you special Artemis, you are willing to do anything for anyone. Whether you just met them or knew them your entire life, you strive yourself to do the very best in every single thing you do. I can see why your friends look up to you, you don't have to put yourself down, worry that whatever happened was on your account. What matters is that you look out for the people you are working with, the people you love, that's what makes you not just a leader, Artemis, but a true hero."

I look to her in surprise and shock, tears pricking my eyes. I walk around the desk and over to her side. I just stand there, for a very long time before I give her a gentle, but intense hug, filled with emotion. I feel her hug back as I let the tears finally fall a little. After a little, I pull away

" thank you Mrs. Rose, do you really believe that I am what you said?" I ask in a shaky voice, stammering, she smiles at me again

" I know for a fact that you are Artemis. and even if you make mistakes, you own up to them and try to make things better. If that's not the definition of a true leader and hero, then there is no such thing as one." She concludes, I smile to her and give her another hug. When I pull out again, I am forced to leave for the night.

I thank her again and say my goodbyes, but when I'm at the door frame, about to close the door, she calls to me

" oh and Artemis?" She begins and I turn to her, waiting for an answer " that close friend you were talking about, they're more than a friend to you, aren't they?" She makes it sound like a question, but it was a statement. I silently laughed and blush brightly, nothing gets past Mrs. Rose.

" yeah, they are Mrs. Rose, they mean the world to me." I answer, my face bright red, she smiles
" well, I hope I get the chance to meet them Sometime." She offers. I wave a goodbye to her and close her office door, walking out into the night.

Outside, the rain began to fall, soaking my clothes and hair, but I didn't care. I walked back to the dorms, admiring the city as I make my journey, thinking about what Mrs. Rose said.

Her words of wisdom echo in my mind and seem to give me energy. The next thing I know, I'm running. I run past the dorm rooms, past the school and all they way to a park. The ground slick and wet as my feet splash against the puddles.

Soon I stop in the middle of a sidewalk, looking up towards the clouds and taking off my glasses, allowing my face to feel every touch of water the clouds drop. I close my eyes and smile, thinking back to who I was when I first got accepted to Monarch Academy, to who I am now. strength, determination, positivity and confidence runs through my veins and gives me a single though

We can do this, we're going to do this. We are going to get the ones we love back one way or another

Sorry for making you guys wait all the time

Plot twist, did you expect to see Mrs. Rose from the very first episode of My Hero Origins from the FanousFilms channel?!

It is pouring cats and dogs where I'm at, my patio is flooded and every day I look like I just got out of the shower.

But personally, I love the rain

Anyhow, i think the climax is almost here, and I have one small question for you guys, this has been a little theory of mine for this story, and I wanted your opinion.

Should there be a sequel?
