Rikku's P.O.V
What I wanted to do during school was discuss the new team project Avian assigned the class. But as usual, things never go right
It was the end of class and me and Shizu were walking to our next class, talking about the project and our ideas, when suddenly, everyone around us became full of panick, some rushing forward, others running away. Many of the students were mumbling all sorts of thing that I could only pick up very little of
" ..... oh my god!..."
" how is this possible?"
" this is terrible"
" I thought the security system was stronger"
Me and Shizu finally made our way to where the commotion was brewing, a large crowd of students starring at something at the end of the hall. Once we made our way through the sea of students, the sight sent me into shock.
Several bodies layer across the ground, blood spattered everywhere, security guards, teachers, even students were across the floor, terrified lifeless expressions permanently on their faces. The blood was spattered and smeared in all angles and areas, until it form the words
We're just starting
I heard Shizu gasp in shock and horror as they grabbed my hand " Rikku, I think we should get out of here, this is to much." They whisper to me and tries to pull me away, but I am frozen. The memory of my father being murdered, database's prone form on the stairs, the recent fight with Rain all play in my mind. I feel my breathing quicken as Shizu pulls me away from the scene
" hey, breath Rikku, it's ok." Shizu tried to calm me down, wrapping their arms around my back in a tight, comforting hug. After a little I was able to calm down and hugged Shizu back " how about we hang out together after school, talk about everything." They offered and I smiled " s-sure, how about we hang out at the mall, I don't think I've been there yet." Shizu smiles and grabs my hands " ok, see you there. It'll be alright" they console me one more time before heading to their class.

We sat at one of the picnic tables, discussing school and our friends. I told them about how I saw Shino and Artemis cuddling in the same bed together and that seemed to light Shizu up with ship ideas. After some talking, the event at school came up " how on earth were they able to do that much damage without being spotted?" They questioned, I was wondering the same thing, how were the villains able to kill so many innocent people and to only see the damage over 12 hours later? Then another question came to my mind
" what did they mean when they said ' we're not done yet'?" I ask, Shizu shudders as they seem to think about the murderous scene " I don't know, but it can't be anything good" they conclude. We sit there in a sorrow of silence, taking in the events when Shizu finally speaks up " hey, how about we just talk about something else, I don't want to go into a dark place yet" I nod in agreement, coming up with an idea
" ok, maybe we could head to the nearby ice cream parlor and then go back to the dorm to watch some anime" I ask and Shizu seems to like it " ok, let's go!"
After we get some ice cream and hang out a little longer, we head to the dorm to watch some anime. " how about we pick a series at random and see where it goes" I offer, Shizu raises their eyebrows but smiles and nods in agreement. While watching the anime show, Shino comes through the front door and is immediately startled " what are you two doing here so late at night?" He asked cautiously, Shizu just smiled " oh we're just watching a few anime episodes" they explained, but soon their face forms into something else, Shizu's eyes lightly squinting, eyebrows raises
" if anything, what were you doing out so late at night?" They questioned him, Shino's eyes for a quick second seems to be in panic, but he relaxed and gave an answer " oh just talking with a few friends, didn't see how long I was really gone." I nodded in understanding, but Shizu looked unconvinced. Shino smiled at us before going " well I'm heading to bed, don't stay up to late." He ordered as he quickly rushed down the stairs.
I turned to Shizu who still looked confused and deep in thought " that man is up to something" they concluded, but I just gave them a look " what are you talking about, it's just Shino" I argue, but Shizu doesn't seem to listen " Shino has never been out after curfew, unless it was with Artemis, but he's upstairs working on his project." I try to think as to what Shizu is trying to tell me. Was Shino up to something else? It's his life, we don't have the right to barge in and start poking around. " maybe we should just leave it alone, we have had a stressful day and I don't want any more action" I yawn, Shizu seems to understand what I am talking about, " ok, but I'm going to look in on him, something's not right" they say with doubt.
I grab Shizu's hand, getting their attention " hey, it's probably nothing, there is nothing to worry about it. Let's just enjoy our time together" I state, Shizu's eyes glow red as they smile and blushe " your right, we should just enjoy our time together. After all, you are the best girlfriend in the universe" Shizu flirts, knowing that I would become flustered. I continue ot make weird noises as my face heats up, Shizu laughs and inches closer to me " and we have each other, remember, your rock, we have each other's backs." They continue, my face growing redder and redder, I inch closer to them as well " I love you Rikku, nothing is going to change that" they say, I Stare into Shizu's beautiful red sparkling eyes, full of joy and excitement.
We stare into each other's eyes, lost in the gaze, We lean forward ever so slightly until we meet and our lips connect. Shizu puts their hand on my check as I wrap my arms around their waist, deepening the kiss. When we pull away, our foreheads are still leaning against each other as we continue to stare into the eyes of the one we love the most. Shizu let's put a breathless sigh as she snuggled close to me on the couch. I smile as a pull them just a bit closer and before we know it, fall asleep.
