When Lily had suggested going to her home village, the gang had assumed it was a long journey. Five minutes after agreeing to her proposal, they were all stood outside of the hospital Rosie was currently in.
"Are we missing something?" Kasper asked Lily, who just stood there beaming at them.
"I'm waiting until we teleport!" She whined. Her gaze was fixed on Brooke, who was still holding Luke's hand absentmindedly.
"M-me? Oh, right, my necklace.."
Using her free hand, Brooke felt around her neck which was absent of a familiar green gem. She hadn't noticed it's disappearance until now. She felt a twinge of sadness, but chalked it up to being sentimental.
"It must have been taken when Lewis kidnapped me! I can't teleport us...I'm sorry."
Luke gave her hand a squeeze as if to say 'Don't apologise'.
"Can't your sword be used to teleport Luke? I seem to remember you and Kasper used it for the Palace." Ruby pointed out.
Luke raised his eyebrows in surprise, the Palace seemed so long ago now. Still, her point had merit.
He checked around to make sure the coast was clear, it was eerily silent in the parking lot of the hospital. He let go of Brooke's hand and waved his own, the blade of diamonds manifesting in his grip.
Brooke looked on in awe, "I didn't teach you to bring it forth silently!"
"Yeah...it just sort of happened on it's own. Is it worrying?"
"No...no no. I'm sure it's fine!"
Luke turned his eyes back towards the sword in his hand. "Last time, at the Palace, I didn't know how to teleport. I asked it to take us to Brooke, so...Take us to the elves!!"
The sword remained still in his hand.
Lily's excited features turned into a frown. "Was that it!?"
"It worked before! Come on man, I need your help!"
Luke realised that once again, he was shouting at a sword in public. His face flushed in embarrassment.
"Oooo! Ooo!! Maybe we gotta seduce it!" Ruby pushed in front of Kasper and tried stroking the hilt of the sword. Luke quickly pulled it out of her reach.
"What is wrong with you and seducing things?! It's an inanimate object!!"
Ruby folded her arms crossly. "Not my fault I'm sexually frustrated!"
"For a sword!?" Luke asked incredulously.
Ruby mumbled something along the lines of 'Could've worked'.
A large van was heading into the parking lot, its headlights shined brightly onto the group of friends. Brooke quickly grabbed Luke's arm.
"Put Adamas away!"
Luke obediently did as he was told and a moment later, the sword had been zapped out of existence.
The light shining from the van burned Luke's eyes and forced him to cover his face slightly with his forearm. Through a small gap under his arm, he glimpsed the logo branding on the vans side.
Triton Robotics
Sounded simple and to the point, albeit a bit cheesy. The name Triton was familiar to Luke for it was Lewis' surname. Surely this fact was a coincidence. However, it did get him thinking about how there were two variants of Lewis now. The Earth Zero Lewis was far more dangerous though.
