Pacifica Elise Corduroy. That's officially her full name.

The interview with them went quite well, even with her nervousness settling up. Mrs. Corduroy seemed to read her moves, and even, tell her feelings. That got her questioning if Gideon didn't get his abilities from her - which he denied, as she didn't even believe in the supernatural. The father asked a lot about her dreams, plans for the future, but not in a way of judging her choices, only to know her better. By the end of the interview, Pacifica felt more comfortable with them both, but would take a little while to actually refer to them as her parents.

Currently, she was sitting at the back of the car with Gideon by her side. According to Bud, they will get home pretty late at night, so they could sleep on the car. Gideon didn't let the car trip stay silent, asking tons of questions and bringing many subjects up for the family to discuss. Bud managed to drive while listening to his son, answering with ease to anything he said. Mrs. Corduroy, much like Pacifica, kept quiet until directly spoken to by either her husband or son, or when she decided to ask something to either three of them.

"Hey, Paz. When we get home, do you want to share a room with me?" Gideon asked. "I promise not to wake you up! And you'll have your own bed, too." he gasped. "Maybe we could paint the walls! They're all blue, like my necklace," he showed his amulet, which his parents thought it was just a normal necklace he got as a gift from one of his friends. "But we can paint the other half a colour you'll like! What's your favourite colour?"

Pacifica waited a second, to make sure she could answer. "Purple," she replied. "My favourite colour is purple. And I don't mind sleeping in the same room as yours. If it's not a problem, then-"

"Oh, no, it's not a problem at all!" Bud said. "The only problem is our lack of space. I thought of making you two sleep on the same room until I could find a way to give you your own, but since you don't mind it, you can stay on the same room until you decide not to."

"I don't mind." Gideon turned to Pacifica. "Do you mind?"

"No."

"Then we're decided! We're staying in the same room."

"Alright then." Bud said. "Just to check: everyone has their seatbelts on, right?"

"Yep." Gideon said.

"I have mine." Pacifica said afterwards.

"Good." Bud stopped at a red light on the road. "Hey, kids, do you want me to grab us a snack on the gas station?" he asked. "And while I stop there, you can choose the music." he winked at his wife.

Mrs. Corduroy smiled. "I'm not that hungry, but you can buy some for our kids."

"Can I have potato crisps?" Gideon asked. "Or chocolate bars? Oh! Maybe ice cream! Could you also bring me us soda? Orange for me!" he turned to Pacifica. "What soda do you like the most?"

Pacifica frowned a bit. "I don't drink it that often, but. . . I guess I like orange too?"

Gideon gasped. "What a coincidence! I knew I loved you from the start."

Embarrassment painted red on her face. Pacifica turned away to the window. Gideon giggled and turned back to his parents. "Mom, you can put your favourite song to play on the way. We could all sing together! Hey, Paz, do you know how to sing?"

"Um, a bit, I guess?"

"Great! Let's have a family song on the way — if Paz knows this song, of course." Gideon looked outside. "Woah, look at the sky! It's turning orange with the sunset!" he tilted his head. "I always wondered why it turns orange after the blue. Orange isn't a colour that comes from blue. You know, orange is made from yellow and red." he commented, randomly. "If the sky combined with the yellow of the Sun, then it should turn green. And if it combines with red — which I don't know why it would, unless the Sun is red and I need to see an oculist. — then it should be purple."
