The breeze of the wind blew against Dipper. He had seen many views of the town, but this one was rather different. Wendy's family warehouse had an incredible view of the whole town. Inside of the warehouse was a bunch of lumberjack stuff, so that didn't really matter. What mattered was the view before him, and only that.
"Isn't it fascinating?" Wendy asked from besides him. "How the whole world seems to small from up here,"
"Yeah," Dipper replied.
"When I look down there, I see them as they should be, small and non-important," Wendy said. "This just makes me remember that I'm the empress of all the world," she turned to Dipper. "And that makes you my emperor,"
Dipper laughed without opening his mouth, nervously nodding at that sentence. He really didn't feel like being her emperor. Although the two had been spending that time together, he felt nothing for her — romantically, at least. He continued looking down on the view, without saying a word to Wendy.
"Hey, Dipper, you never actually answered me,"
Dipper raised an eyebrow and turned to her. "What do you mean?"
"When I asked you to be my emperor back there, you still didn't give me an answer,"
Oh boy, she was still insisting on that. He looked away. "Look, Tao," he turned back to her. "I don't think we—"
"Spend enough time together?" Wendy asked, then smiled. "That's okay! I already have something planned for us tonight,"
Dipper frowned. "Wait, what? When?"
"Tonight, at a famous restaurant that came to town," Wendy said. "It's a Chinese restaurant, I'm sure you'll like it."
Of course it's Chinese. She's obsessed with everything related to China, or Asia in general, but mostly China. It was kinda annoying, but also, very interesting, because Dipper ended up learning things school would never teach him. Some were never asked about, some were actually nice to know, others were just uninteresting. A Chinese restaurant, didn't seem like a bad option, he never ate Chinese food before, that sounded like a good experience for him. He shrugged.
"Alright then, a night between friends," Dipper said.
Wendy's smile lessened. "A date,"
"Um, no?" Dipper put a hand behind his head. "It's just a night between two friends, me and you," he said. "Nothing else,"
Wendy's eyes glowed in green with her amulet. Dipper already expected a tantrum and prepared to use his magic to shield himself. But instead, she closed her eyes and said: "Okay,"
He blinked. "Oh, really? You're okay?"
Wendy opened her eyes and smiled at him. "Why, yes I am," she said. "Why wouldn't I be?"
Phew, what a relief. She still could be just pretending to be okay and later at her palace break some things or whatever she does when she's mad.
Wendy had other thoughts on her head. He's trying to play hard, he wants her to chase him. She knew that trick, it was cute, but wouldn't work on her. That confirmed to her that Dipper loved her too. Oh, how wonderful. She was thrilled. Dipper Cipher, you made her the happiest girl in the whole world.

The time for her date had come. She changed her outfit to a different hanfu from usual: a green hanfu with two white long lines from the belt to the end of the bottom part, half green and half white sleeves; The belt had a Tao symbol in the middle. She tied her hair up on two buns and took a parasol. She applied dark green lipstick and black eyeliner. Her boots were changed to black and white sandals. She glanced the mirror, feeling more like herself than before at her shows. Now she would impress Dipper.
