"Gideon!" Pacifica shouted.
Gideon tilted his head to look at Pacifica, breathing rapidly. She had a concerned look over her face. "Are you okay?"
He calmed his breath, smiling afterwards. "I'm fine." he said. "Don't worry, it's just. . . Something I have."
Pacifica tilted her head slightly. Like, medical or magical?
Gideon's eyes went partially wide at that. He sat down. Magical, his voice echoed to Pacifica's mind. I'll explain after the competition, sounds fair?
Yes. Pacifica helped him stand up. "Did you take your medicine? Delilah told me that you need it because of this."
"I did," Gideon replied. "Before we left." he smiled nervously. "I guess I just let myself overwhelm with the emotions." he leaned towards Pacifica. "I'm just so excited to have a sister! And that she just met my friend! I was kinda afraid you wouldn't like each other." he rubbed the back of his head. "Sorry. . ."
Delilah scoffed. "Please, Gideon. Have I ever hated someone you liked? Especially family?"
"No." Gideon looked away. "You never did."
"Do you dislike me?" Delilah asked.
"No, not at all." Pacifica replied. "You seem to be a nice girl."
"Thanks, you too." Delilah replied.
"I was wondering," Pacifica looked around. "Why does this place seem so. . . Empty?"
"Because everyone else is already in the classrooms."
The three followed the voice with their heads, eyes laying upon a trio of girls. The one at the left was the shortest, Asian features and her hair down with a green butterfly clip. Her outfit consisted of a dress on shades of green, her glasses having little butterflies on the corners of them as well. The girl at the right had a large physique, with auburn hair on a low ponytail. Her eyes were hazel and an orange shirt with a pair of jeans. The girl in the middle had blonde hair, her irises were very light, and from the distance, they seemed almost non-existent. She wore a white shirt with a shooting star stamped underneath a black jacket with short sleeves cut to the waist and a black skirt with white ruffle at the bottom.
"Well, well, well. . ." the girl in the middle said. "What do we have here?"
Gideon smiled. "Hi, Mabel!"
Mabel waved at him with a sweet smile. "Hey, Water Drop." she greeted. "How are you?"
"I'm fine. And you?"
"Amazing." Mabel looked at Pacifica. "So, you're the new girl my brother told me about."
Pacifica raised an eyebrow. "Your brother?"
"The one you met at the mall." Mabel said. "His name's Dipper."
"Oh." Pacifica nod. "Yeah, I met him."
Mabel approached her with her friends behind her. "The name's Mabel Cipher." she held out her hand. "And I'm taking you're some sort of humanised samodiva from an elf library?" she laughed. "I'm just kidding. Nice to meet you."
Pacifica shook her hand, although confused. "Nice to meet you too, Mabel. . ."
As soon as they let go of each others' hands, Mabel put an arm around her friends' shoulders and pulled them closer. "Those two are also my besties! My girl besties." her smile grew. "The short one is Candy, and the tall one is Grenda."
"Hi." Grenda waved.
"Hey." Candy said, neutrally.
"Hello." Pacifica replied.
