Once again, Pacifica stood in a line to the entrance of a show. Together with her was Soos, her parents, her brother and her two friends Lucy and Tiffany. The line was much longer than the one she waited to Wendy's show at the tent. At the entrance stood Melody, the bodyguard of the Cipher family, blocking the passage and waiting for something — a signal to let them through, Pacifica assumed — or someone.
Finally, Melody let people through and the line moved. The moment the Corduroys gave their ticket to Melody, she gave them a golden thin paper bracelet — indicating they were VIP — smiled, wished them a good show and winked at the siblings. They went through the door and inside of a small corridor to a food and drink area.
"Let's buy everything!" Gideon exclaimed.
"Gideon, slow down," Mrs. Corduroy said. "Last time, your father and I had to finish eating for you."
Gideon smiled nervously. "Hehe,"
"We can buy popcorn, pizza, hot dogs," Lucy looked around. "Soda, juice, water," she turned to look around. "There are even toys selling here!"
"Hm, it's been a while since I had pizza," Tiffany said. "Glad I brought some money!"
"Hopefully it's not more expensive than before." Mrs. Corduroy said.
"I'm assuming it will be a bit expensive," Soos said. "It's basically a reopening night, remember, boss? The return of the twins to the stage."
"You're right." Mrs. Corduroy looked at her side. "So what do you—" her eyes went wide, Gideon and Pacifica were gone. "Kids?!" she searched for them.
"I'll have a hot dog, please!" Gideon told the man behind the counter.
"How would you like it?" the man asked.
"Hm," Gideon looked at the options. He pointed at one of them. "Just like that one! Filled with ketchup!"
The parents and the friends rushed over to them. "Kids!" Mrs. Corduroy exclaimed.
"Sorry mom, I was pulled." Pacifica said.
"You could at least have warned us," Mrs. Corduroy said with her hands on her waist.
"Sorry, mom, I won't do it again." Gideon said.
"I hope so."
"One hot dog for you," the man gave the hot dog to Gideon. "What about you, young lady?"
Pacifica looked up at her options. "I'll have that one," she pointed.
The man looked at the option and nod, preparing the hot dog afterwards.
Tiffany went to the pizza stand and pulled out some money. She was third in line, luckily, because soon enough the line had grown like a centipede. Once her turn came, she gave the money to the man behind the counter and said: "I'll take a slice of pepperoni pizza,"
"Small, medium or big?" the man asked.
"Big!" Tiffany said.
The man nod and turned around. A few minutes passed when he gave her the pizza. It was large, very big indeed. She wouldn't even need to buy more food during the break, she'd be full just with the pizza. Behind her, her name was called. She turned around and left the line, seeing the Corduroys and Lucy carrying their foods and drinks and heading inside, calling out for her to join them quick. She rushed to join them with a smile on her face, the three headed inside to take their seats.
The showroom was round, large and shadowy. There were two floors of seats, but which one was the VIP area? That was the ticket they were given.
"Hello, welcome!"
