She races inside her apartment building, not caring about the stares people gave her.

She flies up 5 flights up to her apartment floor. When she arrives in front of her apartment, she hastily takes out the keys to her apartment from her pocket and twists the door open.

Her tears freely flow down her cheeks like a waterfall. She blinks out the tears and tucks the hair that was sticking on her cheeks behind her ears. She probably looked horrible after bawling her eyes in front of a guy.

She smiles weakly and out of instinct, reaches over to pull a tissue from her messenger bag, only to realize it was missing.

Ah, darn it, she thought tiredly. She probably left it there with him.

Well, it was too late to get it now. The school campus had already closed. She tries to console herself. Maybe somebody found it and delivered it to the lost and found.

What a good way to end a terrible day, starting off with a terrible science report grade and losing her most precious belonging. Was this karma or what?

She plops onto the bed and stares at the ceiling. Her apartment was eerily quiet as she remembers what had happened.

Her cheeks flamed red. God, she had cried in front of him. Her hands balls into fists as she buries her face in her pillow.

So freaking embarrassing. Wanting to dig into a hole and never come out, she closes her eyes.

A friend to confide to was something the universe never granted her. She wants it so bad, but when she tries to be that person, no one appreciates it at all.

She lets out a sigh. People in her generation don't understand as much anymore. What it's like to suffer. To stand alone. To be carrying the burden on your shoulders.

She thought that maybe she could help him move on. She had experienced something similar to his loss.

Despite the complications in her life, she knew one thing though. She never wants to see him again. Ever.

Jungwon trudges through the hallways tiredly. Where in the world was that Candy Girl?

He had taken her bag with him to school and it was currently chilling in his locker, but its owner was nowhere to be found. Jungwon could've sworn that he had seen her in some of his classes before, yet she was nowhere to be found. Was he wrong? He shook his head. No, he was sure about her being in some of his classes. Maybe he would have better luck the next day.

One of his friends catches up with him. "Hey!" Sunoo greets him, bouncing happily. Noticing his gloomy face, he asks, "What happened?"

Jungwon didn't bother avoiding his question, knowing that it would just make Sunoo even more curious. "I don't want to talk about it," he answers as they walk together to their next class, Social Studies.

A worried expression surfaces his friend's face. "Is it about Sakura?" he asks quietly.

Jungwon nods slowly. "Sort of... I prefer not to talk about what happened."

Sunoo looks at him worriedly. "If you don't want to talk about it, then we won't." he says. In an even lower tone, he says, "But if you ever need help or someone to talk to, don't refrain from asking the guys or I, okay?"

Jungwon lets out a breathy sigh. "Of course." The guys had helped him so much, especially when he was at his lowest last month.

Together, they enter the classroom in silence, taking their respective seats. However, a certain somebody who sat next to him, her head buried by her arms, caught Jungwon's eye.

She seemed vaguely familiar. Then realization hit him. She was that girl who had candy in her bag.

Well, wasn't he dumb. She sat next to him in Social Studies the whole time! Unconsciously, he stands up, but hesitates. Should he apologize right now?

However, soon, loud clicks could be heard echoing from the hallway. The teacher. Hastily, Jungwon sat back down again. Sunoo shot him a look of confusion before turning his head to the teacher who had entered the room.

Mrs. Han clears her throat and taps on the whiteboard. "Today, we'll be..."

That was all Jungwon heard before he got lost in his thoughts, staring at the girl next to him out of the corner of his eye.

"Why'd you stand up in class?" Sunoo asks inquisitively as the bell rings shrilly. They step out of the classroom, free from Mrs. Han's lectures.

Jungwon rubs his nape. "Ohhh...that was nothing," he answers sheepishly. "Just felt like it."

Sunoo shrugs. He wasn't about to question the mysterious ways of his friend. Instead, he changes the subject. "What are you doing for the SS project?"

Jungwon pauses. "What Social Studies project? I don't remember hearing about that."

"The one you're supposed to do with your seatmate, dummy!" Sunoo groans, slapping his forehead. "You were daydreaming, weren't you?"

"I had a lot of things on my mind!" Jungwon protests defensively. "Wait... with our seatmate?"

"Yes! With our seatmate, Yang Jungwon!" he replies, flicking his forehead.

"Yah! Stop it!"

Sunoo grins. "That's what you get for not paying attention. Anyways, I have to go to my locker. See ya at lunch in a few minutes." He waves goodbye as he heads into a different hallway.

Now alone, Jungwon walks in the empty hallway, humming lowly as he makes his way to the cafeteria. He passes rows of lockers peacefully, thinking about a certain girl...until someone collides into him like a monster truck.

"Ow!"
