Giselle stares at Jungwon in surprise. Why would he invite her to sit with him and his friends? He and his friends were literally the most popular students in the school. Not in a bad way, but in a good way.

"I don't want to bother you and your friends..." she trails off, clutching her newly returned messenger bag. She offers him a smile. "Maybe next time..."

Giselle turns away once again, but Jungwon grabs her wrist, making her flush at the sudden contact. Her cheeks were red as she faces him once more.

"Err... J-Jungwon, you can stop holding my wrist now," she stammers, staring at his hand firmly wrapped over her wrist.

"O-Oh, I'm sorry," he apologizes in embarrassment, letting go of her wrist. He looks down, suddenly shy. "I'm sure my friends wouldn't mind you sitting at our table."

"As long as they are okay with it," Giselle finds herself saying, stretching her mouth into a smile.

Jungwon raises his head and beams. "I'm sure they'll be fine with it." he assures her. "Come on, let's go to the cafeteria. Race you there!" he exclaims, before racing down the hallway with Giselle on his tail.

"Hey! Come back here!" she pants heavily as she chases Jungwon into the cafeteria. Everything becomes a blur as she runs. Unaware of her surroundings, she almost runs into someone. If not for the pastel pink hair, she would've bumped into someone for the second time of the day.

Giselle skids into an abrupt stop, her hair flying into her face. She brushes it aside and blinks at the person right in front of her.

"I'm sure glad that you stopped in time."

Kim Sunoo. One of the most popular students in the school and friends with Jungwon. Supposedly, he was called the "sunshine" of the school and indeed her classmates were right when they said that he was cute.

"Oh... I'm sorry," Giselle smiles sheepishly and bows. "I was chasing someone and I didn't see you there," she explains, toying with her fingers.

Sunoo flashes her a smile. "Good thing that I have pink hair right?" he jokes, ruffling his hair. "I'm practically a traffic light. I'm Sunoo."

Giselle couldn't help but laugh softly at his joke. "My name is Giselle."

"Hey, Giselle, are you coming? Oh, hey Sunoo hyung." Jungwon randomly pops into view, cocking his head at the two. "I see that you've met each other. Hyung, Giselle is going to sit with us at lunch today, just so you know. Not that I'm asking for your opinion on it or anything." he says nonchalantly.

With a sudden yelp from Sunoo, Jungwon pushes him around and into the cafeteria as Giselle watches their interaction.

"Yah! Quit pushing me, Jungwon!" Sunoo complains loudly, struggling to escape the grip of his strong friend. Jungwon was sure working out a lot.

"Nah." He looks over his shoulder. "You coming Giselle?"

She nods and follows him from behind to a table in the middle of the cafeteria. Sunoo, who manages to free himself from Jungwon's grasp, slides into his seat on the lunch table. There was already one boy at the table.

"You can sit next to me," Jungwon offers, patting a spot next to him. Giselle nods slowly and sits down.

"Aye, Jungwon, who's this friend of yours?" one of his friends asks with a bit of an Australian accent.

Sim Jaeyun. Otherwise known as Jake, her mind echoes. He was known to be a total flirt. Also, an Aussie.

"That's Giselle. She's his partner for a Social Studies project," pipes up Sunoo, who was hungrily wolfing down his lunch.

"Really? That's nice. The name's Jake." Jake tilts his head. "Nice to meet you."

"Hi, Jake." she greets.

Another boy, who seems to be a foreigner, approaches the lunch table and places down his lunch tray. "Where are the others?" he asks Jake in confusion.

"Oh, Heeseung is running errands for the student council. Jay's in the student council, so same thing for him. I think Sunghoon is busy studying for a test. Or maybe he's at ice skating practice?" Jake shrugs. "I dunno. Jungwon brought a friend today."

The boy whirls his head around to look at me and laughs. "Will you look at that, Jungwon's branching out and making friends!" he teases.

"Hey, I do have other friends other than you guys! I just don't hang out with them as much-"

The Japanese boy waves it away. "Yeah, yeah, sure buddy." His attention turns back to me and he smiles. "Hey, you can call me Ni-ki. My real name's Riki, but I prefer my nickname." he says brightly. "I'm so glad that Jungwon made some other friends." he snickers.

"It's Jungwon hyung." Jungwon emphasizes. "Hyung. And like I said, I don't only hang out with you guys!" he protests, folding his arms as he pouts.

Giselle quietly takes out her lunch and watches the drama unfold.

Sunoo points a finger at him sassily. "And tell me, when was the last time you hung out with them?" he sasses.

No response. "Hah, that's what I thought," he says, sipping his watermelon juice triumphantly.

His friend scowls (cutely, Giselle thought). "I just hang out with you guys more often. Ugh- I'll be right back. I need to get my lunch." With that, Jungwon stands up and walks toward the short lunch line.

"Anyways," Ni-ki starts. "What do you like to do? Any hobbies or...?"

Giselle looks away shyly. "Er... I like to read and write. I also used to take figure skating and flute lessons." Her cheeks reddens. Did she sound like a nerd?

"Oh, so you skate like Sunghoon." he says mischievously. "Maybe I should set up a blind date for you and- Ow!"

Jake nudges him hard in the ribs. "Don't listen to anything he says, Giselle," he warns. "He's just clowning around like the big baby he is."

Sunoo nods in agreement. "He's a clown." he states blatantly.

"I'm not a clown!" Ni-ki argues defensively.

"Oh, go argue with a wall. You know it's true~"

When Jungwon came back, they were found bickering together relentlessly.

And that was how Giselle's friendship with Sunoo, Ni-ki, and Jake began.
