A few days had passed since she shared a sob story with Jungwon. It was most utterly embarrassing and shameful how she got that emotional and almost cried. In front of someone she hardly knew. She had already cried enough in her life. She hadn't even been able to meet Jungwon's eyes in Social Studies at all. Not after that.

She tugs on her long braids, which became undone a few periods before, staring at herself in the mirror. Giselle sighed, unraveling the messy braids and brushed it a bit. She stares blankly at the nerdy girl reflected off the mirror, her eyes filled with dissatisfaction. There was no time to redo her hair, it would have to do for now.

Soft footsteps were heard as she stepped out of the bathroom, intending to go to the library. Just like she used to until Jungwon had convinced her to sit at his table. Giselle fixed her cream colored hoodie before walking silently through the halls. She was just about to round the corner when-

"Where are you going?" a smooth, calm voice asks. Strangely enough, it was quite familiar, but who would be out in the halls now when it was lunch?

Caught by curiosity, Giselle spun around, caught off by surprise. "Sunoo?" she asks the boy. "What are you doing here?"

The pink haired boy squinted at her. "I should be the one asking you that. You haven't sat at Jungwon and I's table in a while. Why is that?" Raising an eyebrow, Sunoo inquires as he taps his foot, waiting for her answer.

Shoot. Anddd she's been caught.

Racking her brain for believable answers, she fidgets with her bag strap. "Oh... you know, studying for tests. I was studying for a math test coming up." she lies smoothly, brushing off the nonexistent dust on her jeans. "It's better to be prepared than sorry." she adds. Hopefully Sunoo would believe her.

Unfortunately, fate was not on her side. Sunoo frowns. "But isn't the test next Monday?" he questions. He sends her a playful smirk, leaning casually against the lockers. "I'm sure that 3 days of studying already should be sufficient."

Boy, he wasn't taking her nonsense.

Giselle mentally cursed her brain for thinking of such a terrible reason. "I-" Struggling to find another excuse, she averts his gaze, hoping that he would let go of the topic.

"Are you avoiding him?" Sunoo asks, tilting his head innocently. He smiles craftily, knowing that he had cornered her successfully.

Giselle's head swivels around immediately. She was doomed. Panic rose through her body. How did he know? "What?! NO!" she denies quickly. "I'm not avoiding Jungwon!"

Her friend crosses his arms. "I didn't even say his name yet. How do you know I'm talking about Jungwon, eh?" Sunoo lets out an amused chortle at the girl's nervousness. "So you are avoiding Jungwon, aren't you?

"What makes you think that?" she manages to croak out.

Did she think he was blind? "It's obvious." he rolls his eyes. "The way you avoid eye contact with him. You dodge any conversation starters. You barely talk to him in History class, even though he's your partner. You also started skipping lunch to avoid encountering him-" With each reason, Sunoo ticks off a finger. Since when did he become so observant?

Her pulse raced. "I am not avoiding him." Cheeks tinted red, she protests. "It's just a coincidence that I'm studying during lunch."

He shrugs. "Whatever makes you sleep at night, but if you're not avoiding him, then prove it. Come to the lunch table with me now." Sunoo challenges, wiggling his eyebrows mischievously.
