"Stop slandering my mint choco! It doesn't taste like chocolate with toothpaste!"
"Yes, it does! Right, Jungwon hyung?"
Jungwon sighed at the bickering two. Such childish friends he had. "Are you two going to argue about mint choco for the rest of today?" he asks, rolling his eyes. He grabbed them by their hoodies and dragged them. "C'mon, the others are waiting for us."
When they entered the rink, the chilly air made him clutch his jacket tighter. He scans the area for his friends, only for his eyes to land on Giselle.
Squinting hard, Jungwon noticed that she was already skating with Sunghoon-hyung. He watched as Giselle skated the perimeter of the rink and spun midair before landing clumsily. Giselle and Sunghoon seemed to have quite a lot of fun sharing their hobbies. At one point, Sunghoon was presumably chasing Giselle on ice, the two appearing to be chortling and laughing.
He cocked his head at the two, his eyes narrowing. Did Sunghoon perhaps have a crush on Giselle? He was not the one to make the first move, preferring to stay quiet. He was known for being the ice prince after all. Sunghoon, being a popular ice skater, rarely associated with girls, since most he came in contact with were fans.
However, he was a loud introvert at heart once you got to know him. It seemed that Sunghoon had oddly warmed up to Giselle quite fast, noting the fact that it took him quite a while to trust people.
Jungwon still had some doubts though. Sunghoon was mainly focused on his future though, not love nor girls. He had never really made a move to make any girl friends. Maybe he was just trying to be friendly since he shared a lot in common with Giselle.
Or maybe I'm just being delusional, Jungwon thought, his eyes still glued to the figures ice skating. He made a note to ask Sunghoon about it later.
"Jungwon, you might want to stop staring so hard at them, your eyes look like they're about to pop off."
He blinked as a hand waved in front of his eyes. Right, the others were here as well.
"I wasn't staring at Giselle and Sunghoon," Jungwon argues defensively, "I was merely watching the skate."
Jay raised an eyebrow. "Watching and staring are the same thing," he asserted, "and please, for goodness' sake, you can not lie for your life."
Just then, the others, including Ni-ki and Sunoo who had gone to get skates, returned to the two. Skipping happily towards them, Sunoo beams, "Look, we got our skates! And helmets in case we hit our head on the ice!"
Ni-ki rolled his eyes, "Chill, sunshine, they're just skates. Old rental ones, in fact."
"Would you stop being so pessimistic, mate? You're ruining Sunoo's happy vibe," Jake chided as he ruffled Ni-ki's hair, making Ni-ki hiss at him.
"I don't think there is anything to be happy about some stinky skates."
Ignoring him, Sunoo's attention travels to the two who were already ice skating and points at, "Ooo, I think Sunghon hyung likes someone~" he teases.
"Sunghoon liking someone? Psh, I think you need to ger you head checked-'' Jake turned around before his mouth gaped like a fish. He shook his head, "I must be seeing things," he mumbles, rubbing his eyes.
"Ew, love."
Heeseung, the oldest, sighed. "Don't be a bitter teenager, Ni-ki. You won't be single forever, I'm sure you'll find someone soon," he says sympathetically, patting his shoulder. "Ah, young love." he comments wistfully.
