Giselle was most definitely craving restaurant food.

Even though the next day was a school day, she decided to eat something and go home. Most likely to binge-watch Love Alarm again.

The bus jerks into a stop. She glances out the window to confirm her location and stands up before getting off the bus.

She stood by a bus stop, watching as the bus roared back to life and disappeared into the distance.

A chilly breeze flew by and unconsciously, Giselle held her light jacket close to her body. She admired night-time Seoul, its glowing lights and neon, fluorescent signs hanging from stores. Tall buildings lined up on the street. Strangely enough, there were barely any cars, except the ones parked by the sidewalk.

Giselle taps on her phone. Which restaurant should she go to? She mindlessly scrolled through her phone, standing under a light pole.

"Giselle?"

Startled, she looks up, a flash of surprise crossing her face. "J-Jungwon?" she stammers, "Why are you here?"

A masked Jungwon shyly scratched his nape, "I was looking for late night snacks. Mom gave me money and told me to be careful," he holds up a wad of money and points at a nearby glowing mini-market, "You?"

"I just felt like eating out. Tired of eating my own cooking," she replies honestly before eyeing his black mask skeptically, "Why are you wearing a mask?"

He shrugs before lowering his mask, "Don't want to catch a cold," he answers simply.

Giselle was about to open her mouth when a loud boom echoed through the night. The two turned their heads towards the starry sky.

A burst of light shot into the air, exploding into dazzling, extravagant shapes of sizes. They illuminated the dark sky before plummeting back down to the earth.

"Fireworks?" she muses, tilting her head to get a better look at the colorful explosion.

Jungwon turns his head towards her, "Yeah, didn't you know?"

"Know what?"

"There's a street festival today," he points down the street, "Supposedly, the festival takes place over there. Didn't you see any of the banners or flyers?" Glancing around, Jungwon reaches towards the street light and peels off a flier. He gives it to Giselle, "Look."

Quickly perusing the leaflet, she frowns before looking back up, a look of confusion on her face, "But there's no holiday today?" she questions.

A small smile blooms on his face, irradiated by artificial light. He takes the flyer and stuffs it into his pocket, gazing back at the sky, "Do you need a reason to have fun? Come on, let's check out the festival."

"Wait-"

A warm sensation flowed through her hand. He had grabbed her hand. Before she could blush, she found herself yanked forward and running towards the festival. With Jungwon.

"Jungwon, slow down!" Giselle manages to voice out as her hair flaps wildly, smacking right into her face. Ouch.

Briefly rotating his head her way, he flashes a mischievous grin, "Almost there!"

Suddenly, they halted abruptly. Jungwon turns his head toward Giselle, "We're here!"

She blows away the strands of hair that fell on her hair before scowling. "Was that really necessary? You almost gave me a heart attack!" she exclaims before taking a glance at their surroundings.
