It had been approximately 18 days since he had last seen Giselle.
Jungwon didn't have any means of communication with her. He had sent her many messages, but received no response in turn.
Maybe she was busy in the U.S., he thinks to himself.
Never had he gone so long without talking with Giselle.
He stares at his phone mindlessly as if it would elicit a reply from the girl he liked. He smiles at the thought of their memories before slapping himself gently.
Jungwon couldn't believe he had fallen for her.
But love works in mysterious ways, doesn't it?
Ugh. Jungwon rose from his chair. Waiting would do him no good. He might as well make himself lunch.
But as he was about to close the door, a shrill ringtone pierced through the silence. Jungwon frowns to himself as he goes back into his room to retrieve his phone. He holds it up to his ear, "Hello?"
"Jungwon!" It was Sunoo. His voice was a little staticky, but Jungwon could hear the shakiness in his voice.
He bit his bottom lip. "Sunoo?" he asks, speaking into the microphone.
"Jungwon! It's Giselle- Hurry! Hospital! Room 209!-"
The call had ended abruptly, leaving the recipient befuddled. The sunshine had ended the call.
What was so urgent that he cut the call? He wondered to himself.
Giselle. Hurry. Hospital.
Bits of the short lived conversation came back to him. Wasn't Giselle in the U.S. with her aunt? Why would she be at the hospital-
Wait a minute. This scenario was oddly familiar. Déjà vu crept in his mind...
"Jungwon! Sakura is in the hospital! Hurry!"
Fuck.
His phone drops from his hand. "Jiwon-noona!" he yells, causing his confused sister to appear in the hallway.
She scans him in concern, "Sheep Garden?" she asks worriedly. "What's-"
"Take me to the hospital. Now."

Jungwon finds Sunoo in front of Room 209.
"How is she?" he asks breathlessly, out of breath after running several flights of stairs.
His hyung only gives him a sad smile, looking visibly tired. His eyes were bloodshot red as if he had been crying. "I think it's best if you ask her that yourself..." Sunoo carefully opens the door, nodding at him, "I'll leave you guys alone to talk..."
The first thing Jungwon noticed upon entering was the eerie silence.
It was quiet, except the small hums from the heartbeat monitor. An oxygen mask hooked up to something he didn't have a name for laid on a cart.
The white cot was beside all the hospital equipment. And in it... was Giselle.
She was fast asleep on the bed. Her usually long, luscious, brown hair was unkempt and tangled. Eyebags hung under her eyes, but he still knew under her eyelids they were the same familiar shade of cocoa brown. Despite her sickly appearance, there was still something pretty about her... like a wilted rose.
