Distance,
1:30 came quickly, Isabella looked around her room, looking at the many things he'd give her during their friendship, and a picture they took. She put it on her Polaroid wall, it was already there, but she had to move it to make it extra noticeable. She sat on her bed, looking around her room again, before feeling her phone show a text that he was coming over, which would only take him a second to get to the front door.
Isabella sucked in a breath, replying quickly before walking down the stairs and walking towards the front door. She stood there, waiting for a knock, once she heard it, she waited a bit. She wanted to wait a few seconds for her to answer because she didn't want to make it obvious that she was literally standing by the door for him to come.
She opens it, looking at him and smiling softly. "Hi." He mumbled, staring at her before walking in. "Hi, we can go up to my room, my family likes to bother you if you're down here." Isabella laughed softly, receiving a nod from Miguel. She smiles softly before closing the front door and leading him up to her room.
As the two walked into her room, they made their way to her desk, sitting down and looking through their backpacks to grab their supplies for the small project. "I know that he's our first period teacher, but we have until Wednesday, so we may have to finish by Tuesday to be fully prepared." Miguel said, pulling out his Math notebook. "That's true... we'll have to make up notecards—"
"Notecards?" Miguel questioned, laughing lightly, looking at Isabella with a soft smile. Isabella nodded, smiling softly at the sight of him laughing. "Yes, notecards, we need to know what we're going to say in front of everyone... because quite frankly, I have no friends in that class, and I don't want to embarrass myself in front of them." Isabella said, opening up her textbook and notebook to the designated pages.
She felt his eyes on her, as she looked down at her notebooks, she really tried to hide the fact that she'd missed him and had been wanting to hug him since he got back, but then again, he didn't want anything to do with her, or that's at least what she thought.

"Okay, I think we're finished for today. We can meet again on Monday." Isabella closed her textbook, looking over at Miguel, watching him look around her room. He looked around closely, his eyebrows furrowing at the smallest details. She watched him intently, hoping he'd say something about the things he remembered, but he never did. He never once spoke.
"Yeah... that's fine, I have to go." Miguel snaps out of his thoughts, grabbing his items and quickly getting up before looking at Isabella and starting to walk out of her room. "Oh! Okay, I'll walk you out." Isabella followed after him, catching up with him and walking down the stairs. "I'll talk to you later." He says before walking out of the front door, shutting it behind him. "Okay..." Isabella nodded, knowing he probably couldn't hear or see her at this exact moment.
