Distance,

"Shh!" The librarian shushed the laughing teens from the front, Isabella quieted down, sighing as she calmed down and look over to Miguel. "Sorry," Isabella looked over at the librarian and apologized quickly before looking away. "Are you almost done looking at your books?" Miguel asked, looking down at the pile of books he insisted on holding for her.

"Yeah... we can go to the Tea place before going to the park." Isabella grinned, looking over at Miguel, he nods, analyzing her features before following her towards the front desk. "Hi, 5 books..." Isabella passed the books over to the cashier, watching him move along and scan the books. "Cool..." He mumbled, scanning the last book and placing them into a brown bag, looking back at Isabella. He looks at her, looking her up and down.

Isabella thought nothing of it, smiling softly, waiting for him to tell her the price. "Hey... how old are you?" The cashier asked, slowly passing the bag to her. "Oh! I'm—" Isabella mumbled before getting cut off. "Why does it matter?" Miguel spoke up, coming closer to Isabella, grabbing his money and handing it to the cashier. "Uh... I'm just asking her..." The cashier hesitated as he took the cash and grabbing the change.

"Yeah..." Miguel hummed, giving him an unknown look before taking the receipt and change, "H-Have a good day!" The cashier managed to shout out, watching as Miguel followed slowly behind Isabella and putting his arms around her. "Thank you, you too!" Isabella turned her head with a grin before turning back around as she continued to walk.

Once Miguel and Isabella were out of the library, they continued their walk, Miguel stayed silent, listening to Isabella hum to a song as she walked around with a smile, looking around the small street that was hardly busy. Isabella looked over to Miguel, still feeling his arm around her, she noticed his expression, "Miguel, what's wrong?" Isabella queried, still continuing her walk to the corner.

"Nada, Isa." He mumbled, "I'm not stupid. When you're mad, you start speaking Spanish, and then you get all quiet, and you're never quiet around me." Isabella rambled quickly, stopping before sighing softly. "Nothing's wrong." Miguel shook his head as they looked both ways before crossing the street, making their way to the Tea Shoppe. "I know something's wrong, but I'll let you talk when you want." Isabella sighed, opening the door to the small place.

Once the two were finished with buying things, they sit at the bench, located in the park, that was somewhat empt, except for the older people walking their dogs. "I missed coming here." Miguel mumbled, finally speaking. Isabella looked over to him, humming with agreement. "I haven't came here in like... 7 months." Isabella smiled softly, thinking about when she last went to the park with her friend.

"Why did you just come here... with you friends?" Miguel questioned, looking over at her, "It just didn't feel the same." Isabella sighed, taking a sip of her drink, turning away from Miguel's stare and looking at the tall trees. "Have you had a girlfriend?" Isabella asked out of the ordinary, looking over at the boy beside her before looking into the pastry box. Miguel looks at her for a while before answering. "No." He shook his head.

"I've been saving myself for the right person, plus I was filming for my movie... then I got into that crash and was still recovering." Miguel explained, watching Isabella look into the pastry box, staring at the tasty looking sweet. "Oh." Isabella hummed, staying silent as she took another sip from her drink. "Have you had a boyfriend, Isa?" Miguel questioned, using a soft voice with her, drinking his tea as he looked away to the sky.

Isabella laughs, "No. People don't find me pretty or attractive in that way, Miguel." Miguel looks at her with a confused look before resting his face and humming. "What do you mean, Isa?" He asks, wondering at her answer. "I've been told that I was this and that, and I wasn't at all attractive to anybody." Isabella gives a somewhat sad smile as she took a piece of the sweet and eating it. "What? Don't listen to them..." Miguel gave a stern look; watching her carefully.

Isabella smiles, looking at him before looking down. "You are pretty, Isa, people just don't see what I see." Miguel mumbled, biting into the sweet bread and looking away to the big blue sky surrounding the two.
