Distance,
Isabella lays next to Miguel, sitting on the couch, sitting in full on silence. "Are you okay, Isa?" Miguel questions, looking over at the girl, knowing that what he did was probably wrong, but he also knew that he did care for Isabella, with his full heart. "Yeah." Isabella mumbled, lying a bit, but siting still as she stared up at the ceiling. "I know you're lying, Isa, I'm not stupid." Miguel gave a soft smile, staring at her, Isabella felt a small smile come upon her.
"Can... can you just stay the night?" Isabella queried, looking over at the boy with hesitant eyes, he observed her, thinking for a bit, before nodding. "I'll get my clothes and stuff, I'll be back... 20 minutes tops." Miguel nodded, making Isabella nod back, leading him to the door and walking him out. "I'll be right back, I promise." He smiled, quickly grabbing Isabella's chin and kissing her forehead. Isabella smiles, nodding before watching him walk next door to his house before walking upstairs.
Isabella walked over to grab her pajamas, grabbing her towel too, before walking into her bathroom. She quickly undressed, getting into the shower shortly after. The warm water hit her skin instantly, she stood there, rubbing her body as she waited for her whole body to get wet. She took this alone time to think about everything, process everything.
It was never Miguel's intention to treat her as nothing, but he also didn't want to depend on her to get his full memory back, but even then... he doesn't remember everything, most of the things that he remembers are moments with Isabella, which made Isabella relieved in a way. The bad thing was, everyone else knew, except her, and that just made her feel shitty.

Once Isabella was finished showering, she got out, wrapping the towel around her, drying off before starting to change into her pajamas. She brushed through her wet hair, drying it as she brushed through it. She wasn't sure if she was still alone or if someone had come back to the house. So, there she sat, in the bathroom, staring at herself in the mirror, preparing herself before leaving the bathroom and going to leave for her room.
She knew Miguel remembered her, so she was okay, but she still was nervous being around him. Not because she was scared, it was a different type of nervous. She just didn't know how to explain that nervousness in words, it's only something you feel, not something you can put into words. And finally, she grabbed her towel, hanging it up before grabbing her dirty clothes off of the floor and leaving the bathroom.
She looked to see her bedroom door open, the light on, with someone obviously in there. "Miguel?" She questioned, slowly walking towards the room, except it wasn't Miguel, it was Veronica. "Oh, Isabella." Veronica looked towards Isabella with saddened eyes. "What're you doing in my room?" Isabella asked, walking into the room, throwing her clothes in the hamper that sat in the corner of her room. "Listen... I know you found you." Veronica started.
"And I'm so, so sorry that I never told you before... it's just, Mom and Dad were already mad at me and they said that I couldn't tell you about this, because they didn't want to stress you out." Veronica frowned, looking at Isabella. "Ronnie... how long have you known?" Isabella mumbled, looking over at her sister, knowing she wouldn't like the answer. "Ever since it actually happened." Veronica felt a tear drop from her eye. Isabella sighed, shaking her head as she walked towards her bed, going to sit down on it.
"I'm sorry, Isa." Veronica apologized, looking over, knowing her sister was disappointed and sad at the same time. "Please, just get out." Isabella pleaded, sitting on her bed, looking away from her older sister. "Okay... Miguel's downstairs, I'll tell him to come upstairs." Veronica mumbled, slowly exiting the room.
As she exited the room, Isabella got up, getting under her covers and staring up at the ceiling as she waited for Miguel to come in. Someone knocks on the door, "Come in." Isabella said in a quiet voice, the door opens, showing Miguel with a bag in his hand, and a small backpack with him. "Hi Miguel." Isabella mumbled, giving a small smile.
Miguel doesn't say anything, he just walks over, laying beside Isabella and handing her the bag. "Open it..." Miguel said, smiling softly. Isabella looks over at him, sitting up before opening the bag, looking into to see many different things. There were folded up papers, a few small stuffed animals, a necklace, and many different bracelets. Isabella grinned widely, putting the bag down, getting out of her bed and crouching down beside her bed, grabbing the small box under her bed.
Miguel's eyebrows furrow, watching her with amusement, "I got you some things, too." Isabella admitted, bringing the box and handing it to Miguel. Miguel smiled widely, sitting up in Isabella's bed and grabbing the box, opening it slowly. The box consisted of mostly the same things. Bracelets, matching necklaces, many folded papers, small souvenirs, and his sister that he'd given her a few years back.
Isabella bit back a smile, getting off of the floor and sitting at the edge of her bed, watching him looking at many things in the box. "Wanna read the notes together?" He asks, shaking one of the folded papers in his hands, looking over at Isabella with a smirk. Isabella's cheeks brighten a bit, but still nodding.
"Just.... Don't judge some of the dumb stuff I wrote you, okay?" Isabella chuckled a bit, "Isa, nothing you write is dumb, don't worry about it." He smiles, making Isabella laugh once more, before moving some of the stuff and laying next to him. She grabs a pillow, holding it close as they both grabbed the many letters written for each other. "Who goes first?" Isabella asks, looking over at him. "Well... depends, how long after did you write me after I... left?" Miguel asked, Isabella's eyes widen.
"I can't show you that note." Isabella shook her head. "What? Why?" Miguel questions, laughing a bit. "It's... no. You can't read that, l wrote it the night you left." Isabella chuckled nervously, shaking her head repeatedly. "Okay... fine. When was the second letter written?" Miguel asks, giving in.
"1 week." Isabella recalls, smiling, "Okay... I did, too. You read mine first, though." Miguel smiled, looking over at her. "Okay." Isabella nods, biting back a smile as she unfolded the paper.
