A/N I PROMISE YOU THIS CHAPTER HAS WHAT YOU WANT
Also pls take this as a standalone okay? Idk where this fits in the plotline tbh...Lumine POV
She smiled and sighed as she went over to a small, isolated rock in the background of the festival set up at Springvale- Weinlesefest, it was called? She was tired, yes, but she was excited for the toasting ceremony, partly because her managing the festival was over and she could relax, and partly because she wanted to hear Venti sing. As to why she went to an isolated rock? Oh, just see.
"Xiao?" she called out as she relaxed and sat down on the rock. "Are you free?" As expected, a few moments later, the teal-haired adeptus appeared beside her. "You called?" He asked, looking around for any threats. Noting his confusion, she chuckled. "I called you to relax yourself, Xiao. Remember the Mondstadt festival I told you about? Well, the grand finale is near, and I want you to experience it for yourself. Also we could hang out a bit later on." He sighed as he sat down beside her. "Always calling for such trivial matters... I suppose I don't mind though." he muttered under his breath. "Hmm? What was that, dear Xiao? I didn't quite catch it." She commented, smirking slightly, both of them knowing very well she heard it crystal clear. The tips of Xiao's ears went red as he stuttered, "U-u-uh uh nothing." She chuckled as she ruffled his hair. "You're adorable Xiao, you know that?" Xiao's redness extended to his nose. It was a cute sight, really. She put her hand to his forehead as if checking his temperature. "Are you okay, you are quite red." Lumine grinned. She might or might not have learned some more stuff from Kaeya and Lisa, heh.
"Stop it." Xiao mumbled, hiding his now extremely flustered face in his hands. He was saved from further embarrassment by Venti making his grand appearance with his trusty lyre in hand. Lumine turned her attention from him to Venti. He coughed and spoke, "I am so very pleased to be here today, for the finale of the Weinlesefest! I have been invited by the Acting Grand Master Jean to perform a special piece- Thousand Wind Wine. It is some of the finest verse I know. I dedicate it to the wind, and to everyone here today!" He coughed again, before he gently started strumming his lyre and began singing.
"Fill up the barrels, and store them away,
Then wait, wait for a windier day.
Wax the bottles, seal them tight,
For the south wind that soothes, for the north wind that bites."
Lumine smiled to herself. It had been so long since she had heard Venti sing. His childish voice brought back many beautiful memories of the days long gone by.
"How does this fine wine taste to the tongue?
As 'Mondstadt' to the ear, like a sweet dream of freedom."
Venti really did care about Mondstadt, he wasn't just someone who felt like he was too tired and gave the citizens freedom to do anything. He did watch over Mondstadt silently.
"And what, are the fruits that went into the brew?
An explorer's courage, a love tender and true."
She mulled on that line. Courage, love...
"A defender's will, strong as yesteryear,
Joining the Thousand winds in a song of good cheer.
Turning sour into sweet, bitter notes fade away,
As we wait, wait for a windier day."
"Pray tell, what treasure, does this barrel hold?
'Tis wheat's greatest triumph, the true liquid gold.
As it flows from the keg, what sound drifts by?
