"So you mean to tell me that there is a spirit in the Engrove?" A man said as he cleaned a beer glass. He had been around 2 hours into his shift when this guy ran in wailing about a damn spirit. Now personally he has no qualms with spirits. It's a natural rule among any type of species, don't mess with me and I won't mess with you. Of course... Many people ignore that line of common sense.

The man nodded vigorously. He must have seen something to have scared him right out of his wits. "What kind of dumbass goes into the forest anyway?" The man whom the bartender found the name was Agret (A-gret) looked clearly offended.

"Well now! I'm doing you lot a favor by telling you he's in there!" The bartender only frowned in response.  "What kind of spirit then?" Agret looked slightly relieved at the change of tone from the bartender. He knew it was stupid he went into the forest but could you really blame him? There had to be something interesting in there!

"Something fire related probably." Agret shrugged. "His blood caught fire when it hit the ground. He had tried to hide it." The bartender thought for a moment. "If he tried to hide it, probably knows the consequences of being a spirit. To an extent anyway." The bartender put down the glass he had been wiping away at for probably a tad bit too long.

"Well then... I'm sure you aren't bluffing but I can't just believe you without proof." Agret frowned but he knew what the bartender was saying was right.

A group of men started laughing before looking at Agret with seriousness. "I'll take your word for it. "Do you know what kind of spirit he is?" Agret frowned. "I already told you it's fire." The man shook his head.

"You clearly don't understand. We have seen our fair share of spirits arise from the Engrove." The men around the leader nodded in agreement.

"Well then what do you mean kind." Agret said frustrated.

Suddenly the men quieted down glancing at the window with curiosity. A lone cat stood in the window watching them with a calculating gaze.

One of them elbowed the boss and pointed. Catching Agret's attention as well he looked curiously.

Those eyes. Agret felt a shiver go through his body it made the hair on his neck stand on edge. The cats eyes weren't natural, it was a yellowish orange. Like fire.

Agret pointed a shaky finger before he yelled.

The men frowned at him. "Yea we know! You went and scared the damn spirit off!"

Ace woke up with a yawn. It wasn't raining anymore, that was good. But the wind still seemed rather harsh. Not that Ace cared, as long as it wasn't raining he would be fine. Ace stretched before walking out. Those people in there no doubt recognized him. He should get back to the forest as fast as he can and get out of this small weak form.

Ace looked up at the Engrove forest. He was a distance away but nothing this cat body couldn't manage. It should take around 20-30 minutes max.

Ace inwardly smiled, or as much as a cat can smile.

A small tapping from his paws could be heard as he jumped from rooftop to rooftop. He saw the same group of what he guessed were spirit hunters.

No matter the species they all had hunters of some kind, bounty hunters, animal hunters and those who just looked at the price tags of other human beings.

Nothing Ace was unfamiliar with.

He had spent plenty of time in this stupid form. What's the point when they knew he was a spirit either way.

His body felt a similar warmth as he shifted back into a person. His freckles spotted onto his face as his eyes shifted back from red slits to the familiar grey. He scratched his head. His hair was in dire need of a wash now.

He's ten minutes away.

Ace sighed as he looked around. Man, he enjoyed this place too. It was rather boring but it was a nice place to relax at.

Ace shrugged, not the first time he was forced off an island. Is it a crime to not want to commit a crime? Ace sighed, it made to little sense to him.

Ace crouched before jumping off the building towards the Engrove forest. Little people dared to go that deep into the Engrove, but Ace doubted the hunters would care. Ace scowled as he caught sight of a couple of them at the side of the forest.

Ace really hoped they weren't already at his hut. He needed at least a week to get ready to sail out to another island.

Ace landed on the ground and shifted to his side before using the trees to boost him forwards. He needs to train his haki until he's ready to sail out and get a crew or maybe even join one. As long as he travels he's fine with either.

Ace has a good grasp on his observation but he lacks when it comes to his armament. His conquerors is great for someone who is self taught but it would be easier if he got someone to teach him.

He looked to his side, there were definitely people in the forest. Let's hope they wouldn't pose too great of a problem. "Spirits have their weaknesses and my arm hasn't had the time to get any better." Ace's eyebrows furrowed in frustration. He should have just killed the guy while he was in Ace's grasp more specifically when he had him at knife point.

Ace tries not to rely heavily on his powers but he really needs to learn when he should just use them anyway. They would just thinks he's a devil fruit user anyway.
