Sabo coughed a little into his arm as he stood up from his chair. A few of the commanders looked at him as he walked to the other side of the room. "Is it contagious?" Haruta asked, his voice sounded horrified, but Sabo knew it was a joke. "No, not from whatever he has." He said as he pointed at Ace.
Izou frowned, "How can you be sure?" He asked. His makeup was smudged, but it'd be a death sentence if you pointed it out. "Because I tried." He shrugged. Koala gave Sabo an odd look, "Tried? For what reason?" She sounded genuinely shocked, but Sabo recognized it as the beginning of a lecture.
"It was a while ago, back when both me and Ace were kids." He recalled. When he recieved a few odd looks he sighed. "Its back when this first happened." He gestured. Koala crossed her arms, "But why would you try?" She huffed.
"It was so Luffy could visit Ace without worrying about it, it was when he had..." He trailed off. He was very... Odd? It was strange when he first turned into a spirit, and he did in fact get sick left and right when he did, while Ace wasn't conscious when it happened, he would had easily agreed it was for the best.
"Well, It's grose to think about." He admitted. Silence fell upon the room as Sabo let their imaginations fly, because when you think about how to get purposely sick from someone who is, what crosses your mind? Exactly, not pretty.
Sabo sat down next to Koala, she seemed to enjoy the confusion that would cross the commanders faces. The nurses, being nurses just sighed as they went into another room to do their own work in private.
"Well, since your Ace's brother... You should have some type of dirt on him." Haruta chuckled. Sabo frowned, "What kind are you trying to get?" He responded. Haruta hummed as he put his hand on his chin, a sort of mock thinking pose. "Well, I want to pull pranks on him." He said with a grin. Izou groaned dramatically. "Don't even think of bringing Ace into your dumb games." Sabo looked at Haruta oddly.
Koala nudged her arm into Sabo's rib. "C'mon it'd lighten the mood a little." She whispered. "I assumed the mood was lightened when news of Ace being Okay spread." He replied. Koala rolled her eyes, she knew he knew what she meant.
"I guess, there was this one time." He started. "Its when gramps first brought him." He laughed silently at the memory. "By gramps you mean Garp right?" Namur asked, he seemed hesitant. Sabo nodded, "Sadly." he admitted. "Ace didn't really understand much of anything." He grinned. Izou frowned at the light-hearted nature Sabo was presenting.
"Ace found it funny." Sabo reassured. "Well not at the time Ace, he was rather frustrated." He recalled it clearly. "He didn't understand social classes very well." Sabo began. At this point he had the attention of everyone in the room, they were all clearly eager to learn about Ace.
"He knew how to do all types of things, spirit things, robbing people things, ya know." He said with a shrug. Haruta chuckled, "So he's always been a trouble maker?" Sabo paused, "Ah no not really." He admitted.
"He found me in the forest, and we clung to each other for safety." He admitted. "I didn't know how to rough it in a forest, and he didn't know the first thing of being with people, so we taught each other." It was a nice thing to recall on.
While Ace wasn't the best helper in terms of food, he knew about what hurt and what didn't, as well as shelter. At the time it was better than nothing, and it was nice that Ace was his age.
Izou nodded, "I see..." He frowned. "You didn't do a good job." He stated with a deadpan. Sabo groaned, "I don't know what to tell you..." He trailed off. "Anyway." He shook his head.
"Well anyway, he'd always do the dumbest things, he always landed in the jail that was over there for disrespecting traveling nobles." He shrugged. Haruta frowned, "C'mon I want something better!" Sabo frowned, "Then tell me something you want more information about." He deadpanned.
