Thatch sighed, he was rather disappointed, this island like many others unfortunately had nothing new to offer him. They were too close to fish-man island for there to be anything good, or new for that matter. Thatch scratched his head as he lazily looked up from where he was sitting. Jason and Jenson were related and extremely new to traveling, much less being pirates. A part of Thatch wonders if they are ready to be pirates much less Pirates of the strongest man in the world.

Don't get him wrong he doesn't see them any less as anybody else in the crew, but they needed to set their egos straight before they did something stupid. Thatch made a mental note to talk to them later.

Thatch sighed, he should probably get back to the ship. He needs to talk with his division about meal preparation. Each start of the month meant a new food plan, which usually meant more or less mouths to feed.

There unfortunately had been many times where people left the crew because they simply just couldn't handle it. Thatch couldn't blame them but it annoyed him no less. "If you're not ready to make the commitment don't bother in the first place." Thatch scowled, he was just making himself upset.

Thatch grabbed the book of recipes he found and walked back to the forest. This island didn't have enough reserves to restock their food unfortunately they would have to go to one of their regular islands to restock.

The walk on the path was quiet. A small crunch of dirt sounded beneath his feet each step he took.

Thatch jumped away holding his ground. His eyes widened in surprise as some sort of fireball made its way across the path before inevitably going out. The areas it touched were all burned beyond recognition.

"The hell." Thatch said with wide eyes. He quickly regained his composure. His hands traveled to his swords. He didn't feel a direct threat, and Thatch didn't feel that fireball was aimed at him.

Though it worries him. He has a guess who it was aimed at.

His suspicions were confirmed when Jenson who was holding onto Jason came running out of the forest.

Thatch let go of his swords and looked at the two. He wasn't a doctor but anybody could guess they were burned. Though Jason looked worse, he was breathing heavily something was around his mouth, Thatch guessed it was probably vomit.

Thatch did not like vomit but he would deal.

"What happened?" Thatch said with furrowed eyebrows.

Jenson looked back at his brother before answering. "We met this kid in the forest and I thought he was the spirit." Thatch raised his hand to stop him from continuing. Thatch was really hoping he was wrong right now.

"So you attacked him." Thatch said with a frown. Jenson looked around before nodding. "Yes, I did." Thatch shook his head. "You aren't a bounty hunter don't occupy yourself with stuff like that." Jenson nodded.

Thatch looked at Jason he could be doing a lot better. "Take him to the infirmary and get Bay to take a look at him." Jenson nodded before helping his brother up making the trip to the ship.

Thatch watched them leave until he couldn't see their figures anymore.

Somehow, he called it. He usually would say something along the lines of "I told you so." If it were one of the commanders. But those two aren't used to getting hurt that way, and probably wouldn't take kindly to that kind of teasing.

Thatch looked curiously at where the fireball had come from. He couldn't sense anyone with his observation, but he's never been the best at it either.

On a whim Thatch decided to go deeper into the forest, meeting this kid sounds interesting, a lot more interesting than hanging around the dumb town.

Whitebeard's eyebrows furrowed as he looked at his two sons walking on deck. They didn't look very good.

"What happened out there?" Haruta looked at the two as well a frown forming on his face. "Aren't you two with the 4th division?" The older one nodded. "Yes, we are new... Thatch is fine if you are concerned." Whitebeard shook his head. "I know he is, I am concerned over you two." The younger groaned before talking. "We were just stupid idiots, our own fault, really." The older one frowned but nodded. "We are going to the infirmary. I'd rather Jason get patched up than report." Whitebeard nodded in understanding.

"Of course, don't let me stop you." Jenson smiled before walking away.

Haruta frowned. "Well, since they're new it's hard to tell if whatever did that to them is an actual threat." Whitebeard nodded. "I'm sure Thatch is fine if he ordered the two of them to go to the infirmary." Haruta thought for a moment before nodding in agreement. "yea, you're probably right." He sent a smile towards Whitebeard before going off to the commander's quarters.

Whitebeard nodded to no one in particular before sitting down into the chair that was stationed on the main deck.

"Is Thatch not back yet, yoi?" Whitebeard shook his head. "There seems to be trouble in the forest." Marco frowned. "You don't think it's something we should worry about?" Whitebeard hummed in response. "Thatch is a commander, if troubles rise we will be able to tell." Marco thought for a moment before nodding.

"Yea your right, yoi." Marco shrugged before going off to the railing. Whitebeard smiled.

Marco seems to never realize just how much he really is a "mother hen" in Thatch's words. Calling Marco that is just a way to say he's caring and annoy him at the same time.

Whitebeard stared at the forest before he himself wondered what could be happening.

Thatch had been walking for who knows how long when he came across a small hut. In front of the hut sat a fire. It had a pretty big chunk of meat too.

He wasn't that desperate to eat, it was clearly somebody's elses.

Thatch was about to investigate further when his observation suddenly picked up a person right next to him. Thatch turned his attention to the teen sitting on a tree stump eyeing him.

Well it seems the teen had been more aware of Thatch than Thatch was aware the teen. Though, Thatch could tell that the teen was all but happy to see him here.
