– Dr. Macy! – I say, entering her office.
– Noah, I thought you went home.
– I really, really need to finish.
– I don't have time, I'm sorry.
– It won't be a minute.
She looks at me for a while then gives in
– Okay. Sit down...
I sit down, rub my face, take a deep breath, and then start to speak.
– I left. Then I went back.

"Rita, I can't leave you here alone!" – I said and noticed that she wasn't under the tree house anymore – "Rita?"
I called her name at least a ten times more but had no response. I got down of the tree house and started to look for her at the woods. When I couldn't find her, I went back to the tree house and found her sitting at the tree house's door, looking down, with a big smile.
"Hey!" – She said.
"Where were you?"
"Around." – She said and got down – "You look nice."
"Thanks?"
"Hey, I've been thinking, maybe we could swim."
"It's too cold for that. Are you okay?"
"Yeah, yeah I just really feel like swimming..." – She looked at the water for a minute or two then jumped into it.
"Rita!"
I jumped right after her and got her out of the water. Once on land, she started to laugh like crazy and said "oops, I forgot"
"I can't swim!" – She said and laughed more.
"Rita, are you sure that you're okay?"
"I couldn't be better." – I stared at her – "Let's go home, we need to change clothes."
We got to her place and she changed. As her father wasn't there, there was no tension. While she was dressing up, I headed to my place and changed too then went back to her place. As soon as I got into her room, she got up and hugged me.
"Promise me that you won't ever leave me." – She said.
"I promise."
She let go of me and smiled
"I'm so glad that you're my friend..." – She said.
"Me too..."
She then grabbed my hand and started to run through the house, heading outside.
"Wait, where are we going?" – I ask.
"To the hill."
– Where she was found?
– Exactly.
"What for?"
"I need... I need a break, you know?"
"From your father?"
"Yeah, that too."
"Okay, so... Let's go then..."
