Chapter 41

RYDELS POV

Ratliff was in hospital. My brothers had beaten him up really badly and were therefore undergoing the silent treatment from me and Lynn. Lynn, however, thought that silent treatment meant you don't speak to anyone, and so it was really quiet. Even for a hospital.

Mrs Morano was in hospital. She would now be in hospital until the doctors got rid or the cancer. Laura was in pieces, but there wasn't much she could do. She was in a similar position herself.

Laura was in Hospital. Mom insisted that she got a checkup done after she threw up again that day. I felt really bad for her, but she was quite happy when the doctors confirmed that she definitely wasn't pregnant. Riker was quite relieved about this too.

"Ok, I've told the doctor we all want to see if we can donate our marrow bone to Mrs Morano. Laura has food poisoning. Mrs Morano said she wants to see Riker and Laura ASAP. Ratliff is still unconscious" dad updated us.

"I'll go see her now" Riker said getting up, although I wasn't sure if he meant Laura or her mom.

I decided to go and check on Ell anyway. I didn't understand why my brothers had a problem with us dating. I didn't beat up Laura or Savannah when Ryland or Riker announced they were dating. Well I sort of did, but that's because Laura hurt my brother. But I'd forgiven her and got over it. Why couldn't they do the same?

I didn't bother knocking on the doer before walking in, there was a nurse injecting him with something. I sat I the corner whilst she made some notes and changed wired and all. As soon as she left, I got up and ran to sit next to him. The nurse walked back in and gave me a weird frown.

"I'm sorry, but he needs his rest. You need to give him some space." She said awkwardly. I don't know why, but I felt anger boil.

"Don't you tell me what to do. He's MY boyfriend! I saw the way you were looking at him, don't you dare touch him again, get another nurse. And don't tell me what to do" I yelled.

"Please Ma'am, you have misunderstood me and are disturbing the patient." She said glancing over at Ratliff.

"Urge, stupid nurse!" I muttered stomping out the room. I turned a corner and bumped straight into Rocky. I put my arms around him and started crying.

"Whoa, what happened?" He said startled.

"You hurt him now he won't get better" I sobbed into his shoulder.

"Delly I-" he started.

"Save it, I told you boys, I'm not talking to you!" I said holding up a hand and looking down. He looked at me, confused, but I just walked off. I heard him sigh heavily and walk away himself. I made my way to the waiting room. Most of my family sat there, except Riker and Rocky. Riker was probably with Laura, and Rocky, the bathroom.

Laura walked in a few moments later. Riker and she had their arms around each other but Laura didn't look too good. She took a seat next to mom and took out her phone. We all sat in our personal waiting room in silence. You see happiness was in the air, but no one was willing to inhale it.

I sat there for about half an hour, but the pressure in the room seemed to increase with every second the clock ticked. Eventually I was too frustrated to just sit there any longer. I excused myself and got up, making my way to Ratliff's room. He was still unconscious.

I sat next to him in silence for a while, gripping his hand. He sat for about 20 minutes and suddenly I saw his pinky on the other hand twitch. I wiped my tears and concentrated on his hand. This time his whole hand twitched a little. I saw his eyelids squeeze shut and then open a little. He did it again till he could pull his eyes open straight away. He pulled his hand away from mine and slowly sat up.

"Ouch" he moaned as he tried.

"It's okay, just sit down, it's probably broken" I said laying him down again. He layer down just a doctor walked in.

"Apologies ma'am, but I have to check him up now, so I'm have to ask you to leave now. Sorry" she apologised. I sighed and gave Ratliff a kiss in the forehead, and then walked out. I made my way to our waiting room again. Laura sat there in silence, and I sat opposite her. The doctor walked in to give us an update, and Rocky and Riker walked in. They took a seat and the doctor spoke.

"Regarding Mrs Morano, unfortunately none of you have a matching donor, and we need to find one soon or it will become pretty hard to save her. Mr Ratliff had nothing broken, but he has sprained his right ankle. We can give him a wheel chair or Crutches, depending on what he would prefer. He will be able to go but tomorrow morning. Also All the Lynch boys and the Lynch Girl here are being called to the main reception by the police. Good Afternoon" he said walking out.

I was quite happy Ratliff was okay. But then I realised that Laura wasn't too good.

The boys and I slowly walked to the main reception confused as to why they were calling us. We walked towards the elevator in silence. I still wasn't going to be talking to them. The elector stopped and we made another few turns. When we got to the reception the police stood there.

"Mr and Ms Lynch, you are under arrest" he said.

"What?? Why??" I asked trying to get the lady officer off me.

"For publicly assaulting Mr Ratliff" the man shrugged as they tried to take us away.

"Who filed this report?" Riker asked.

"Mr and Mrs Ratliff" the man shrugged again. And with that we were taken away.

Hey guys!!

Late again I know, but I've spent time writing all this week, it just wasn't finishing. Yesterday we went on a reward trip to Thorpe Park (A Theme Park in London) and were late back. I got home around 6 instead of 4:30 due to traffic and then watched the RDMAs. Then I was too exhausted to do anything and went to bed and did some reading before I fell asleep.

I'm going to try and do a second update this week but I'm a slow writer. The next chapter will be what Ross and Nevaeh are doing whilst all the hospital Drama is happening here. So just a reminder this all happens at the same time.
