Chapter 32

363 DAYS LATER
ROSS' POV

"Where?" Lynn whined as we chuckled.

"To your left, Lynn. He is trying to hide from you, he doesn't like you anymore" Riker laughed as he mimicked her tone.

"Mr. Squilgglepants wouldn't run away from me, he doesn't hate me, I'm his only friend" she whined again.

"Fine, I'll tell him to come back" Riker sighed getting on his tummy so he could see the bottom bunk- Nevaeh's one. He opened the curtain. Nevaeh was sitting in there-half lying down actually, on her iPad. She glared at him.

"I'm working!! I told you guys to keep it down, and you didn't do that, the least you could have done, was leave me alone. Your too dumb to help me!" She half-yelled.

"But it's 10 minutes to midnight, and Lynn's imaginary friend is hiding in your bunk" Riker said.

"HES REAL, NOT IMAGINARY!" Lynn yelled.

"Ok, Lynn real friend is in here" Riker said. Then all of us except Lynn and Nevaeh burst into laughter.

"Well he just went into the back Lynn. They're just messing with you, he isn't mad with you, he thought you were mad with him cause of the boys. Go, I'll keep everyone busy" Nevaeh said. Lynn stomped into the back of the bus. I laughed and I heard Nevaeh giggle a little too. I looked at the time. It was 3 minutes to midnight.

"Guys bring it!" I whispered to everyone. They nodded and we all went to our bunks to
grab it. Now it was time to get the cake. Mum and dad came in holding a cake with happy birthday Nevaeh written across the top in italics.

"LYNN, COME HERE" we yelled with the top of our lungs. She ran in pretending to hold hands with her imaginary friend.

"It's already the 14th of August? It's seems like it was just in the last chapter of my book!!" She groaned. She hated presents. She hated her birthday. She hated having been born in the first place. But now she was family. It was our job to convince her that she isn't a mistake.

I checked the time- 10 seconds to midnight. we all started counting down.

"10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1!!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY NEVAEH, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU,!!!!" We yelled at the top of our lungs, waking up Bella. She howled from next to Nevaeh as we all covered our ears. I chuckled.

Rydel handed her and ratliffs a present. She opened it-it was a box full of R5 accessories, something Nevaeh didn't have much of. Rocky went next, he gave her a small box wrapped in shimmery red paper. She slowly unwrapped it neatly, unlike us- we just ripped the whole thing apart. It was a gold watch, and it was the R5 logo in the middle. Riker gave her his present next. It was a bit bigger, wrapped in green paper. She unwrapped it again, it was a scrapbook. To put in all the pictures.

I gave her mine and Rylands present next. She unwrapped the blue paper slowly as usual. We had bought a iPad cover with the 8 of us on the cover. She smiled. Mum and dad stepped forward with Lynn. They gave her a box that seemed a lot bigger than all of ours. Lynn took it from moms hand and gave it to Nevaeh happily. She unwrapped even slowly. I saw her eyes glisten, she hated this day but we were becoming successful in making it good.

It was an Laptop- an apple one that was touch screen, windows 8 and became a tablet too. I was extremely jealous right now. I could even feel that invisible steam coming out from my ears. I guess the others could feel it too. I heard Nevaeh gasp as she covered her eyes, probably wiping tears from her eyes. Just then the bus stopped.

"Thank you guys so freaking much!! I love all your presents really but I can't except this!" She cried. Of course I had once again forgotten she could read minds.
