Chapter 29

TYLER'S POV

I heard Nevaeh's alarm go off. She groaned as she turned it of. Usually, she doesn't groan. She only groans or moans when she is sick. Sick with anything. She wasn't a morning person, but she never groaned. I always got really worried when I heard her groan. But hey, it was December, she hated winter because it was cold and she always got the flu. And since today was her first day, she would stay in bed. It was Tuesday, and it seemed like she was going to have stay of school for a few days.

'you alright?' I asked.

'Yeah' she groaned, I heard her getting up. I opened my eyes and realised that I was sleeping next to Riker. He was on Rydel's bed and next to him was Rocky. I rubbed my eyes getting up.

'Lie back down' I told her. But she didn't listen.

'No, I'm fine' she said, coughing out loud.

'Lie down, Nevaeh, for gods sake just listen to me today.' I said gently.

'Fine' she groaned again. I shook Riker awake, and told him that Nevaeh was sick so only Lynn would go to school today.

"She is hard to handle when she is sick" I laughed. It was his turn to go to school with her today. He was obviously pleased. These lynch kids really hated school. I laughed at my thoughts. Riker was thinking about how Laura was doing. He was planning on calling her later today. Just then Nevaeh's alarm went off again, causing all these Lynch kids to groan and wake up. Rydel was supposed to come to school with me today. But I wasn't going. So poor Rocky would go to school with Lynn and come home dressed like a fairy, answering a bunch of stupid questions like why girls and boys had to use separate toilets. That was going to be her first question tonight, she was thinking it today. Thank god we could send mental messages to other people. Everyone got up, groaning, fixing hair, gripping random hoodies. I got up and walked to Rocky.

'Hey Rocky, today's question first will be why girls and boys use separate toilets, your answer is ask Nevaeh.' I said mentally to him. He jumped and screamed.

"What the hell dude?" He said, surprised.

"Oh no, we forgot to tell you." I said. " we can mentally send messages to you too."

"Dude, that's creepy, please stay outta my head" he said. With his American accent, it sounded really funny.

"I'll try." I shrugged. Nevaeh stayed in bed as the boys went to shower. They all got ready and I sat next to Nevaeh. I put my hand on her forehead. She was really hit, she probably had fever.

"Lie down with me" she said. Rydel was in the bathroom helping Lynn shower, and the boys were in their rooms, Nevaeh's mum and dad in their own. I took off my shoes and slipped in the bed, next to my 'girlfriend.' The only problem with our telepathy was that we couldn't read each other's mind, only other people's. I lay there on the edge but Nevaeh put her arms around me and pulled me closer. I shifted and she snuggled into my chest, slowly falling asleep again. Just then Rydel walked out of the bathroom, with Lynn behind her in a towel. It was dress up day for them and so Rydel had promised Lynn she could be a princess today. They went out and brought a tiara and everything. She put on make up and after about half an hour the boys came back in. I guess Rydel hadn't noticed me with Nevaeh because when she turned around, she squealed.Then the boys saw us and took out their phones. They all wanted to take pictures.

"Oh my god, you can't be serious" I moaned. I tried to get up but Nevaeh just pulled me closer instead. Every laughed.

"That's sweet dude, don't worry just a few pictures for when your married in the future." Ross laughed.
