Chapter 77

RYDEL'S POV

"Ladies and gentlemen, we are gathered here on this glorious day, to witness the Union of Riker Lynch and Laura Morano. Please repeat after me:" the priest starts . "I, Riker Anthony Lynch,"

"I, Riker Anthony Lynch," he repeats.

"Take you Laura Morano" Riker

"Take you Riker Lynch" Laura

"To have and to hold" Laura

"For better and for worse" Riker

"In sickness and health" Riker

"Please exchange rings" the priest says. Vanessa steps forward with a ring, and Ross with another, and they both do so, not once cutting eye contact.

"Now you may Kiss" the priest says. Their lips touched and I felt myself get teary. I tried to  dry my tears with the hanker chief my mother handed me. We were both in a similar state, so dad had carried one for pretty much everyone. They pull away with the slightest touch and we all go up to congratulate them. The evening speeds by and before you know it, we're in the banqueting hall. We all eat dinner as the DJ plays tracks all suggested by guests only. Before we know it, it's time for the bride and grooms first dance. Neither of them actually knew how to ballroom dance, so they came to me, and I taught them happily.

The DJ started playing Just The Way You by Bruno Mars as they followed the step I had taught them. They slipped a few times but it was hardly recognisable  yet they ended up just swaying in each other's arms. It was so cute.

"Your now welcome to join in" The DJ says through the mike. I see Ross asking Courtney for a dance and Ryland asking Savannah and Rocky with another girl. I look around the hall but Ellington is no where to be seen. One of the camera man that are streaming bits of the wedding live to the rest of the world.

"Hey Rydel!" he says.

"Hey" I wave. I pick up my phone and five Ratliff a call but he doesn't answer, so I exaggerate a sigh and sit back into my chair and finish my dinner.

"Hey Rydel!" A voice yells. I look around to find a face to match the voice, but I don't see anyone, the music is awfully Loud and there's too many people chatting or yelling. I'm pretty sure every boy but Riker is drunk off their ass. I don't think Laura will let him drink anymore than I do. I look around to even look for Lynn but I don't see her. Instead I see Gale approaching me. He sits in the chair next to me intended for my boyfriend before sighing loudly. I can't help but giggle at his cuteness.

"Girls are such drama queens!" He complains.

"What?" I laugh awkwardly. That's nice of him to tell me.

"My girlfriend says I should sit next to her like my brother sat next to his girlfriend but my mummy won't let me!" He huffs.

"Okay..?" I giggle.

"Where's your boyfriend?" He asks me.

"I don't know, he disappeared a hour ago and hasn't returned since." I tell him.

"So you guys haven't danced yet?" He asked. I shake my head no. "Well, I'm pretty sure she won't dance with me, so may I have this dance?" He says. I nod and take his hand. He leads me to the chequered dance floor where the music is a lot louder and I show him where to put his hands. I have to bend down if I want to dance with him but this is really cute so I don't mind.

We slow dance together for quite a while until the music speeds up. I let go of him and he steps back as we dance together near the bride and groom. I spot Ratliff's face everyone in a while but I can't see who's he's talking to, maybe a child, he or she is too short. After a while I spot him on the dance floor with Lynn and Beauty and I can't help but smile at this cuteness. Hopefully he was with them all along. They move closer to us and Beauty meets Gale and they dance and slowly move away from us.

"Where were you?" I asked him.

"I was with the wedding planner. Something about having the wrong tie and it getting mixed up with Ross's." He tells me as the song changes. Selena's song Good For You starts and we move together.

"So you just disappeared for an hour because you had the wrong fabric around your neck?" I ask. He could have come up with a better excuse.

"She went on a search mission for him, and he was with Courtney in the washroom area, she was really passed of and she had told me if I moved an inch, it would be the death of me. I was too terrified to leave." He explains.

"That's why I should have planned the wedding, it would be so much better than this shit" I say. He chuckles and buried his head in my neck leading me off the stage. The DJ announces desert are going to be served. We all take a seat and there's only a few people as the delicacies are distributed among the guests. After deserts, everyone starts to leave but it's about 3am when it's only family left. Then everyone starts to clean up or depart for hotel rooms. Riker and Laura leave for the airport at 5am for their short honeymoon and the rest of us leave the hall around one.

It's only the rest of our family and Kian who's been following Nevaeh around like a lost puppy since his parents left. Nevaeh is all over the place and we are all exhausted so we book a few hotel rooms and split up for he night. Tomorrow we leave to go to Colorado for a week but Nevaeh stays at home alone. After that we leave for London, come back to LA, then leave for our next tour. This is the busiest I have been all my life, not that it's a bad thing of course...

Hey guys!

I'm sorry, I meant to update last weekend, but I'm going on holiday soon so I have a lot of shopping to do and a lot of school work to complete. If I'm behind on any coursework, I will loose marks and one of my biggest fears is an F.

Anyway, I'm running out of ideas, one of the reasons I find it hard to write so frequently, but I think all I need is the time and patience to deal with myself. I don't have much strength in my at the moment.

Anyway, it's 12:30am and I got back from the mall about an hour ago but we had guests so I couldn't go to sleep. I'm gunna stay home tomorrow even though everyone else will be out shopping. 😢 life is so depressing sometimes!
