I gaped at him.
"What the hell?!" I exclaimed.
I heard Jeremy yawn behind me, and he suddenly stood by my side.
"Carter, watch your language!" Mom scolded.
"Sorry Mom.." I mumbled.
"Who's this?" Jeremy asked.
"I have no idea who this man is. Now please sir, leave my property." I glared at Jonathan, slammed the door in his face, but he stopped it with his foot. I huffed, and grabbed Jeremy's arm, and stomped away.
"I'm sorry about my daughter, she has a bit of a temper." I heard Mom apologize.
"I do not have a temper!" I shouted back.
I whipped the door to my room shut, and sat on my bed. "Car, what's wrong with you? You haven't met the guy yet, and you're already flipping out. Usually, you let them talk for a few minutes, and then you flip out." he said, rubbing my shoulder, as he sat next to me.
"Well, maybe his fancy ass clothes pissed me off." I glared at my wall.
"That suit was really nice though. You think I could pull that suit off for prom?" he asked.
Did I forget to say that Jeremy was the self-centered one, and I'm the temperamental one?
"J, I'm pretty sure you can pull off anything." I said. It's true. Jeremy is Greek God good-looking.
He has that preppy-boy look on him though, with his flat brown hair, and green eyes. But he still looks good. His popular aura though, doesn't make me attracted to him. He's too much of a goody two shoes sometimes.
I need a guy who isn't a softie. Like Jeremy. He's more sensitive about his hair than I am. Not that I don't care about my hair, I just don't care...that much.
My door slowly opened, and there was Mother. "Carter, I need to talk to you." she said. I sighed.
Here my friends, is a preview of a lecture from my mom. It's probably about my bad temper, my sarcasm, or my violent ways.
I got up, and followed my mom to the kitchen. She sat down at the island, and I sat in front of her.
"Carter, that at the door, said that he was taken aback by your grades at school..." she began.
I wasn't failing school...last time I checked.
"He said that he's never seen grades like yours before..."
I think I was failing, and she wants to send me to some nerdy camp where all you do is learn!
Wait, that's school, or summer school....
"Apparently, he's the headmaster of this prestigious school called Buckham's Boarding School. And he's given you a full scholarship until graduation!" she grinned widely.
There's no way in hell this guy is a headmaster of some preppy school. 24 hours ago, he was trying to kill someone, and asked me to help him!!
"I'm not going." I said flatly, and got up.
"Too bad. I've already agreed for you. You leave tomorrow." she said.
"WHAT?!?" I screamed. "Mom, how could you say yes when you haven't even told me!! What if this guy's actually a pedophile in disguise?!"
"Carter, don't be so irrational. He even showed me the website to the school. I think it's a great idea for you to go there. It'll look good on your college applications." she said.
"What if I don't wanna go to college?" I lied.
"You're going to college. No matter what you say, you're going to college." she said, getting up and leaving. Then she enters her room and then shouts: "Pack up soon!!"
That's how it all ends when Mom lectures me. Dad's more softer than her. Cause I'm his little angel. Daddy never says no to his angel. I went over to his office and knocked.
"Come in!" came out his muffled voice. I entered, and sat down in front of him.
"Dad, mom's sending me to a boarding school.." I pouted.
He looked up from his laptop, and lowered his gaze down to me.
"Oh, that. Your mother already told me. You should pack up soon, you're leaving tomorrow." he said.
"What?! Dad, she didn't even ask me!" I stood up from my chair.
"Carter, I think this is a good idea for you. Maybe some of the kids there will rub off on you, and it might change your violent ways." he said softly.
"Still, I'm not going!" I shouted, and left the room. I went to my room, and grabbed my jeans and a t-shirt, and went to change in the bathroom.
After changing, Jeremy had a raised eyebrow at me. "What happend earlier?" he fired the question at me.
"I'm going to some snooty prep boarding school tomorrow." I said, and walked out my room. I grabbed my leather jacket, slipped on my Converse, and left.
Normally I would leave home whenever I'm pissed at my parents, and go to the nearest Starbucks, but instead, I just kept walking. It was pretty cold for March, but I couldn't care less right now, since I'm fuming over about my parents sending me somewhere without any consent.
"Carter?" I heard a familiar voice say.
I looked around to see Nick, a guy in my English class.
"That's my name."
He chuckled, and walked over to me.
"So, I was wondering, if you wanted to go out later tonight?" he asked.
Did I mention he was a hot player?
"Sorry, I can't. I'm busy tonight." I said.
"What about tomorrow?" Desperate, much?
"Still busy. I'm sorry Nick, but I have to go now. My mom wants me home soon." I apologized, and walked away.
Before I could flee, he grabbed my wrist and yanked me back to him.
"Come on, it'll be fun." he whispered into my ear. Oh he was pushing it...
"No. Thanks." I said, and yanked my arm back, and running away from him as fast as I could.
Jeeze, how much worse can my day get?
I guess I wasn't looking, but I tripped on a rock, and fell on my face.
Apparently, much, much more worse.
