CHAPTER 14

Its late night, around 11:30 and we all spend the time chatting, laughing and me casually crying, which I believe might be due to my hormones as my period is near. Then a nurse, who has been taking care of me, appears with my medicine and water. "Charlotte, you have to take this red medicine right now, then the white one in few minutes and then the blue one. After taking them all, you can ring the bell to call me so that, I can give you your shots." She says as she puts the tray on the bedside table. 

"Okay." I say, disgusted by so many medicines.

The nurse disappears and Edward hands me my first medicine and a glass of water. I look at him with a pouty face and he raises his eyebrows at me. "Don't make that face and take the medicines, Charlotte."

 "I don't want to take these bitter medicines." I say looking at Derek as he iss my last hope after Edward won't budge.

 Derek looks at me helplessly, "You have to, Candy."

"Well, I guess she wants me to fail my chemistry exam and  also not make it into my favorite school." Edward says looking, or maybe pretending to look, all sad. I roll my eyes at him.

 "Alright, alright. I will take the medicines and tutor you tomorrow right here." Derek and Edward laugh as I take my first tablet. I take the second and third tablet in another few minutes. "Now get ready to get your shot." Edward says he places the empty glass, which he took back from me, on the table. Derek rings up the bell and the nurse appears in a fraction of minute.

"You guys need to leave." The nurse says and both of them can't contain their curiosity and in sync ask, "Why?" I smile at their jinx.

 "Because Charlotte needs to change before getting her shot." The nurse says. Derek leaves, as he has no other option, after nodding at the nurse

. Edward doesn't budge from his place and the nurse, Kate looks at him for a while but when he doesn't move, she opens her mouth to speak, "Sir, you need to le-".

 "I can be here with her, it doesn't matter." He interrupts her looking at me.

 Kate looks at me questioningly, "Are you alright with that?"

 "Yes, I am." I say without having a second thought. She just nods at me. 

She hands me a clean hospital gown and leaves. Edward helps me get up and locks the door and I start to undress myself but he extends his arm out asking me to stop. I smile as I know what's coming next. He comes and takes off my bloody t-shirt and then jeans and disposes them in the basket kept near the bed. He hands me my gown asking me to put it on. I frown because this is not what I had in mind and I also get whatever I want, whenever I want.

"Kiss me." I say dropping the gown on the floor. 

Edward looks at me wide eyed, "Are you sure?"

 "Yes, Edward." I say weakly. He doesn't ask any more questions and kisses me lightly as he grabs my waist, my hands in his hair. He moves down, kissing me on the neck, I gasp as he kisses a sweet spot near my ear making me shiver. He moves further down leaving a trail of kisses down my covered breasts and naked stomach. Suddenly, there's a knock on the door and Edward gets back up with the gown in his hand.

I put it on as Edwards speaks, "It was good while it lasted."

 "Yeah, it was." I grin and lay back in the bed as Edward unlocks the door to see Kate. She eyes Edward but decide not to say anything. Derek also comes back in.

 "I need you both to hold my hand, please."

 "Of course." They both again speak in sync. This time they both also laugh. They both join me on either side of the bed and hold my hand in theirs, tightly.
