CHAPTER 34

We both turn towards the door to face our death butcollectively exhale after seeing that it's just Derek and Ollie. "Oh thank God, I thought I was going to die tonight," I sigh with relief as I look at them both.

Edward backs off from me after whispering, "We will finish this later," making me blush. God, even his threats are sensual.

"Yeah, you would have if it was not us but your parents. Just learn to close the fucking door before getting all hot and sexy, especially when your parents are merely 5 meters away from you," Ollie says as she walks in to hug me.

"Yeah, I know I am sorry. Now, they also know about me and Edward being a couple," I say surprising both of them. "My mom knew about the date but she didn't know we are a thing."

"Wow, didn't Mr. and Mrs. Jones murder you both?" Derek asks as he eyes me. He knows my parents enough to know that my parents wouldn't easily accept the fact that I am dating someone I called a jerk in front of them.

This time Edward cuts me off, "First of all, no they didn't, second, mind your own business and third, get on with your surprise." Derek and Ollie just stare at me speechlessly.

I look at him bitterly and nudge him, "Stop being an asshole."

Instead of being mad at me he just raises his eyebrows at me amusingly. "The higher the count of your sins, higher the intensity of your punishment, baby girl," Edward says loud enough that even Ollie and Derek heard it.

They both cover their ears and Ollie starts blabbering nonsense making to erase that from her mind, us all laugh. "Let's go before you both end up on the bed," Derek says as he takes Ollie's hand in his.

"I mean it's not like we need a bed to fuck but okay," I say as I lock my hand with Edward's. Edward laughs his discreet laugh as he eyes me whereas Derek and Ollie scream together, "TMI."

"What's the too much information here?"My dad asks as we walk to the living room. Oh no.

"I was just fussing about my class schedules and tests and shit and they were just annoyed by that," I try to cover up but dad doesn't seem to believe me.

Thankfully he doesn't interrogate any further and simply nod. "You guys wait outside. I will be right out," My friends along with Edward do as I say as Edward untangles his hand from mine taking away the warmth and sense of security with him.

"Dad, where's mom?" I need to tell my mother that I am leaving before I do otherwise she will bury me alive.

"She's upstairs doing some work. Tell me what's up," dad says with a genuine smile on his face. He is trying, she's trying, and most importantly, they are trying.

"I am heading out with Edward, Derek and Ollie. Derek's up to something; apparently a surprise for Ollie. So, he's gonna take us to the destination. I just wanted to let mom know where I am going," I explain to my dad who looks seemingly different, not physically but in a way I can't pin point.

"Okay kiddo I will let her know, don't worry. Enjoy," He says smiling in a sad way. I nod at him and before I can leave he continues, "And kiddo?"

"Yeah dad?" I ask confused at his serious tone.

"Be careful about the guy. He is very nice but you never know about the boys nowadays. Also don't grow so quickly," I spot the unshed tears in his eyes and can't hold myself back from hugging him. I cross the room in two long strides and hug him as even I almost start to cry. Not because of the situation but because of seeing tears in his eyes. 

"I will be careful dad and don't worry about me growing up. I will always be your little girl," I say as I pull back from him and wipe his moist cheeks.
