*OLLIE'S POV*
I have never been this nervous about a surprise. Deep down, I know what's coming no matter how much I deny it. Maybe that's why I am nervous. I know what's it gonna be but I am STILL scared that it is not gonna be what I think it is. It scares me that I am scared about it. I don't usually care if a guy asks me out or not because there are plenty of fish in the sea but this one? This one is the rarest.
I take a deep breath to clear my thoughts as I stare out the window. The sun is setting showering the sky with its different colors; orange, pink, purple. It's a scenic view, it screams peace and serenity. If Derek had brought his camera, he would have stopped the car for a photography session and I wouldn't have minded at all. Passionate people drive me insane.
He takes perfect photos. Even though he has never taken my photos, I have seen the ones he has taken of Charlotte and Edward and they're beyond perfect. They were not even taken in the perfect set up but they were still beautiful. He has got some talent but I am never telling him that or his narcissistic ass won't be able to handle that.
"What is so beautiful that's worth ogling, more than me?" Derek asks pulling me out of my reverie.
"Hmm. Basically everything," I say earning myself a pout.
"That's not what you said when I was railing you last night," He says raising his eyebrows at me.
My cheeks immediately turn pink at his comment. "I wasn't saying it but you don't know what I was thinking." I am not letting him win.
"Oh Ollie, I do not know what you were thinking but I know that it wasn't that I am not the most beautiful creature to be fucked by," He says with a look of pure satisfaction swimming on his face. He thinks he is impeccable. He actually might be, I swear.
"Shut up and drive. I can't wait any longer for the surprise," I say in a grim tone but with a smile playing at my lips.
He goes on as I go back to looking out the window, "Glad that you're not a sore loser." He says with a smirk. The sarcasm is so clear that I can literally see it. Yeah, okay he is impeccable.
"I am not a loser. Just a reasonable person unlike someone else," I say returning his smirk.
"Well, being reasonable sounds overrated anyways and who likes being cliché? You know Charlotte and I like doing things which aren't too overrated," The teasing is as always evident in his words.
"Yeah I know that. How long? I am getting bored with your nonsense talks," I say checking the time. It's almost eight.
"I might just take one more hour if you keep testing me, Ollie," The sound of my name on his tongue is my poison and elixir of life altogether. God, this mushy shit is so not my thing. What has happened to me?
"Don't you dare. Just tell me how much longer it will take," I say with a sigh. I am usually very patient but today I am specifically really impatient.
He answers by hitting the brakes to the car. I look to my left to see a beautiful cafe lit up brightly by lamps and lights. The pathway is bordered by beautiful plants dotted by pretty flowers of various different colors which I bet smell like heaven.
The path leads to a double glass door of black color. Just as I am ogling the beautiful place, Derek gets out the car and I don't even notice that he is waiting with his hand held out at my door until he fake coughs.
"Ms. Gomez? Can I have your attention, please?" He asks as he bends a little.
I take his hand and get out, "Of course, Mr. Hennessey." He closes the door and leads me towards the path as we walk hand in hand. I was right. These flowers do smell like heaven.
