*EDWARD'S POV*

I had a good time yesterday, with Charlotte, Ollie and to my shock, Derek too. With Ollie, Derek is no longer a threat to Charlotte and I's new relationship, which reminds me that I have a girlfriend now. I never thought I would think these words. I was convinced that I am incapable of being in a relationship, which I still am but a little less and it's only because of Charlotte.

I mull over the fact that I am in a relationship as I drive to the school. Even Cassie can't believe it and can't say I am surprised because she has seen me come over with 3 different girls in a single week. I think about that Edward, which I was not a long ago, and a look of disgust spreads over my face automatically.

I like or liked the thought of sleeping with a new girl everyday as it provided me with what I liked to call 'Having experience before trying anything serious' which is completely nuts as I think about it now. Though I hate the thought of sleeping around now, I am still petrified of commitment.

I haven't been scared of losing anyone or anything except Cassie before Charlotte, but since the moment I have laid eyes on her, the thought of losing her scares the living shit out of me especially after her accident. I hope life doesn't play games with me and fucks everything up. But hope is for suckers, my conscience, which I had buried deep in me, pops in to say. Fucking great.

I try to bury my conscience back to where it belongs, deep into my soul, as I stop at Charlotte's place. She doesn't know that I am going to pick her up so I came a little early just in case. I arrive by the time she must have not left with her best friend.

I ring the doorbell and instantly a laughing Charlotte with wet hair opens the door. "It might be Olli-" She stops in between as she sees me. My face lights up just at the sight of her laughing. "Good morning Edward. What a pleasant surprise." She says as she hugs me.

I smile as I take in her exasperating scent. Even her scent is different than other girls'; it's better. It's a light scent of sandalwood, which is usually not attention grabbing. But to me it's intoxicating, which keeps pulling me towards her and I don't want to pull away from it anymore.

"Good morning girlfriend." I whisper in her ear and she pulls back and looks at me adoringly. "I like the sound of that," she says as she takes me in holding my hand.

"Yeah me too. It has a nice ring to it." She hands me a cup of coffee as I settle down on the couch.

I can't say no to some caffeine. "Thank you." I say as I take a sip and it's exactly how I like it; strong.

"We aim to please, boyfriend," She says with a wink, emphasizing the word 'please' in a sensual tone. Oh fuck, I love when she acts like this; not too innocent.

She sits down beside me with her own coffee in her hand. "Where's your friend?" I ask as she spreads her legs over my lap.

"Oh Derek? He's still asleep," I smirk as a thought occurs to me and by the look Charlotte passes at me, I know she understood what's in my mind.

"No no Edward. Not that I care but I am still sore from yesterday's enjoyment. Even though I also really want you right now, my vagina may need a break." She says.

I pout, "That's okay. I can at least kiss you." I keep my coffee mug back on the table and she also keeps her empty cup beside mine.

"Can't say no to that." I get on top of her and place both my hands on her stomach.

"Of course you can't." She says and kisses me before I can. She kisses me like we have met after a year or a two and it's absolutely maddening. I kiss her back hungrily.
