*CHARLOTTE'S POV*

Edward left soon after I became his first girlfriend and him, my first boyfriend. I need to tell Ollie about this. Now, it is Derek who's looking at me amusingly with his muscular hands folded over his broad chest. I cover my face and fall onto the couch.

Derek runs to sit beside me. He lifts my legs and lets them down on his lap as he sits. He starts to massage my legs. This feels good after such a long day. "Candy, I can still see you, you know?"

I uncover my face to look at Derek. "Yeah I know."

"So, Edward is finally your boyfriend. I thought he wasn't the relationship type," says intrigued Derek.

"Yes he isn't or I guess wasn't. He wanted more but is scared of commitment. So, I convinced him to give it a try and he agreed too because he wants it too." I say as my cheeks turn to a light shade of pink. Derek smiles genuinely at me.

"I am happy for you, Candy but just be careful. Some relationships can ruin everything, so don't let your relationship be that destructive one." Derek says as he continues to massage my feet.

"Of course Derek, I won't. Don't you worry." I say and close my eyes, replaying every moment in my mind and heart.

How he looked so sincere and vulnerable when he explained everything to me. His ocean blue eyes betrayed his soul, giving away every one of its own secret without even knowing. I know that he feels for me something he has never felt for anyone before and something he is scared of and to be honest I am too.

I don't know if I can keep in control what I feel for him. But all I know is that our Chemistry of lust will take us places and I don't how and where it will lead us but I am excited for this journey of ours.

"So what're we planning to do now?" Derek asks and I am about to give the answer none of us would expect from me.

"Celebrate a little. I wish I had who I want to celebrate but okay. This will work too. We can celebrate you and Ollie too." I say gesturing between us.

Derek raises his eyebrows at me, "First, Ollie and I aren't a thing and second, how are we celebrating?"

"Well, alright but we can still celebrate. And I would really love a beer right now." Derek's eyes go wide as soon as I complete my sentence.

He checks my forehead with the back of his hand, "Are you okay? Do you have fever? Or are you just not Charlotte? Where did you keep her?" Derek asks dramatically.

I laugh at his little act, "Sit back down, you drama king. I just want one beer." I say with a pout.

"Alright. I will get some cans from the store. I'll be back in around 20 minutes. Till then, you can choose a movie." I stretch my legs as Derek gets up. "Yes, perfect," I say and Derek leaves.

*DEREK'S POV*

I don't have my vehicle here so I have taken an old friend's spare car for a  few days. I drive slowly taking in the night life, which is never dead in San Francisco. Everything is lit up in golden and white lights. One of the many things I missed about San Francisco, huh. I left for a reason. Don't forget that.

I reach the store in about 10 minutes. I know the owner and he greets me as soon as I enter, "Derek honey. You're back. It's so nice to see you," The old man in the red whom I have known since I was a kid says from behind the counter.

I smile at him as I walk past him, "Yes, Mr. Anderson, I am visiting for a couple of weeks. It's nice to see you too." I walk to next aisle to find some beers after Mr. Anderson asked a bit about my life in London.
