*DEREK'S POV*
Just as I am making myself breakfast in Charlotte's kitchen, I reminisce my last night with Ollie. Me fucking her mouth, her on top of me, her in the shower with me. Every scene repeats itself like it is happening in real life. I wish she could stay but apparently her mom wouldn't approve of her staying at her childhood best friend's house. It's not weird.
Just as I am about to go into over thinking phase, a smiling Charlotte enters looking exactly opposite of how she looked when she left the house, her hair not as straight anymore, her not in her fancy clothes but in a over-sized grey hoodie and a matching track pant which was also loose.
"Had fun?" I ask as I flip the pancake. She passes me a sly grin before throwing herself on the couch and taking a deep breath. She turns around to look at me. I just raise my eyebrows at her reactions. She drank.
"It was a perfect date followed by a more perfect night," she snorts and takes off her hoodie, revealing a light blue colored blue t-shirt. So, she is completely dresses in her boyfriend's clothes. They're one hell of a couple.
I flip off the gas and head towards Charlotte with 5 pancakes in a plate for the both of us. I know she might have already eaten something or someone at Edward's place but she loves them so I know she'll eat them anyway.
"For you madame," I say as I place the dish in between both of us. "I mean for both of us."
"I have already eaten but you know I can't decline your pancakes," she takes a big bite out of the pancake and groans closing her eyes savoring the taste of sweet chocolate making me smile. She still loves them. Some things never change and I never want them to.
Just as I take a bite out of my pancake, I notice something on Charlotte's neck. We're gonna have some fun with that. "Well, didn't you have too much fun last night," I say playfully and Charlotte pauses in mid between chewing.
"What? I mean of course I did. But why did you bring that up suddenly?" she asks resuming her chewing.
I point towards her neck, "That made it clear that you had a little too much fun." She flushes to crimson red as she realizes what I mean but soon there's a smirk on her face.
"Well, we did have a lot of fun. This was just the smallest little detail. We even played drunk and strip. I asked him chemistry questions and if he answered them right, I stripped one piece of clothing and took one shot of sunset rum," she says with a mouthful of pancake.
"Oh wow. Well, Ollie and I had all types of fun you know? We did it in the positions in which even gymnasts can't last," I say and Charlotte cringes almost spitting her food out.
"Well, Edward fucked me against the window," she says and it's my turn to cringe.
"You guys are gross," I say as I flip off Charlotte.
"Right back at ya. But anyways, thank you so much for helping Edward with our date. It was perfect," she says as she softens up.
I shrug with pride swimming in my eyes, "What can I say? I know you so well." Charlotte rolls her eyes but ends up laughing with me.
"So what did he plan?" I ask as I just told him all her likings but never got to know what he ended up planning.
"He took me to see the river from the top where we could even star gaze. I could enjoy sky and water at the same time, it was awesome. Then we went to an open garden restaurant where he set up private dinner for us with a band and the next stop was Edward's room." Oh wow, that may set the bar high for other guys whose girlfriends are Charlotte's friends.
"Oh my, wow. That ought to be fun," I say making Charlotte blush.
"It was. He had to drop me off and leave as he has soccer practice and I already miss him," Charlotte says making me laugh. She's needy.
"Let me get your mind off of him, for right now," I say as I walk backwards to the kitchen with the empty dish in my hand and grinning.
*CHARLOTTE'S POV*
Derek comes back to the living room with his camera in his hand just as I hit send on the text to Edward,
'Call me when your practice's over. I already miss you.'
Derek sits beside me, with a thump, excitedly. He turns his camera on and flips through the pictures and finally stops after a few seconds. He turns the small screen towards me to show me yesterday's photos.
In the first one, Edward and I are facing each other as he had both his hands placed on my waist whereas mine were on his face which was about 2 inches away from mine. The picture is absolutely awesome.
"The photo is so brilliant that's it's surreal but showing me pictures of yesterday night with Edward will help me in forgetting him? Please explain that logic, Smart ass." I say with a smirk making Derek pause. He nervously runs a hand through his hair and lets out a light chuckle.
"Oh yes. I am so proud of the way they turned out that it totally slipped my mind. You're right. It's a bad idea, we don't have to watch them," Edward says as he starts shutting off his camera. No, I don't want that. I grab his hand to stop him.
"No, it's alright. I wanna see them," I say pouting at him and he gives in as he shows me the next pictures. There many pictures, we have different poses in all; in one we're kissing, in another one, one of my legs is wrapped around his waist and my hand is on his face and one of his hands on my thigh, this one was my favorite.
"They're perfect," I say as I take in the last picture.
Derek scoffs before saying, "I hate to say this but you guys are perfect."
I think about it. Are we perfect? I don't think anybody's perfect and that applies to even us. Though we haven't fought even once since our official relationship, but still we don't have a perfect relationship. We don't talk about our feelings often, we didn't use to open up easily but we're getting there. I smile as Derek tries to read me, "No Derek, we aren't perfect. Nobody is. We have our ups and downs but if we're meant to be and mature enough to know that, we will solve these ups and downs even when fire is stalking our track."
Derek smiles up at me as his eyes glisten with mischief, "Candy, I think you should drop the idea of bio-chemist as well as model too. Be a writer, it will be too perfect for you." he emphasizes the word 'perfect' making me laugh.
"Sure, we will see where life takes us." I say and we spend the rest of the day in as it is getting a bit chilly as it's almost November.
*EDWARD'S POV*
I hit the ball which goes to Carlos; exactly where I wanted it go. Carlos plays good under pressure so, this shot should be good as we only need one goal to win. Don't let me down, man.
He jumps up in the air, defying gravity and swirls his head to hit the ball with so much pressure that it will definitely lead to a head ache. Everyone and everything pause to see what is gonna happen next. The ball flies in the air towards the net, the goal keeper of seniors try to stop it by pushing it off but he misses as the ball flies over him. We won.
It's not the big game but any victory is a victory. We all run over to Carlos and high five him and he takes off his shirt and throws it off. We all scream and hoot. We are over actors, not gonna lie but this is the only place where I feel like I can let go and feel myself. Even the cold weather isn't making me cold. I feel warm. I don't know if it is Charlotte or the soccer season or that I am getting better at studies or the weather but right now I feel complete and satisfied like I have never been before.
I don't want the reason or maybe reasons to be lost because I really like this feeling.
