["D/A" narrates —A.A.]
'And there is a third component arising from pain and our ability to stuff it—' (and our inability to see beyond it!)'—the creation of further DIS-ease. Interesting, isn't it, that we are creators, and yet at the root of this synopsis, perhaps a long time ago, we created darkly?' (True. But we can also create beauty. Yes?) 'When something triggers a feeling that we choose to block, we have in fact chosen to replace our "interaction with it" with a "reaction to it" —an illusion within and of a mind that thinks it is duly protecting us. And "reaction" becomes an habitual pattern that we get stuck in, and we react "it" over and again, do we not? Frequently this "ability" is passed down from one generation to the next; but it is ours now, and till we come to be educated to a further degree and begin to see what we are really doing, nothing will change. Yet it must! We must—allow change. If opportunities continue to appear in our lives so that we may learn to see, and yet if we do not and another person or living thing becomes involved, well, then what happens? We end up dis-easing each other—yes? Now talk to me.'
I felt highly connected to the flow of words, and to their message. For good reason. I felt their charge inspiring as they flowed through me, and was a little surprised at how ready I was to talk. Flowing, untouched, the words came to mind—
'—but first, love, tell me what you are doing?'
"Why, I'm looking into black waters."
            'Doing what?'
            "Trying to see my reflection."
            'And what do you see?'
"Nothing. Nothing to speak of . . ."
            'Are you sure?'
"Well, not nothing . . . I guess. Maybe I'm hearing what I'm seeing, or sensing or feeling?
'Nice to be able to hear here, isn't it?'
            "Sure is!"
'And are you understanding everything, so far?'
"Some of it's clear. And some not so much."
'So then, know that BOTH what you are hearing-and-understanding and not-so-much understanding, this puts us exactly where we are: clear words and meaning when we are clear; not-so-much when we are not clear; in a roundabout-way when we are in between. And we know of course that understanding is key. But not overly key. And we know also that the fuller understanding comes from—well, you tell me. From where and when? In time? Eventually?'
"From where and when I have myself a real life-situation and intentionally meet up with my feelings."
'Painful and hurtful feelings—yes? And do you think that this moment, here and now, as we talk about these feelings, counts as a real life-situation?'
"Well, I AM dreaming, aren't I. But I'd imagine this moment counts. But this moment is more a preparation, I think so . . . and, umm, yes, meet up with my painful and hurtful feelings. Either, or both. And fear."
'. . . and fear. As you say. Now, talk to me.'
So I did (but my lips weren't moving).
"When a reaction rather than a response to a so-called negative-situation arises (comes up [or down?] from subconscious mind), we often re-act an old image-of-hurt or illusion that we have put-upon a situation or feeling. Mm-hmm: the stuffs of memory-past. Also, we re-act the doubts that we have, that we have given form to—another illusion—not unlike the fear we think we see, REFLECTED in the darkness of The Unknown. Perhaps, though, when we feel a situation arising, it should make us mindful of a new opportunity and Energy available to us for growth beyond our lesser-nature and our self-created, limited reflections. Still, when a new opportunity DOES appear as a real life-situation, often it comes up negative and we end up creating that much more reflection, burying ourselves that much deeper in illusion; and we cast it into the atmosphere, time and time again into the range of another being's field, and we hurt their feelings, or we push their buttons, or we steal their freedom and/or their energy. How many times? Instead of realizing a negative feeling as an opportunity to overcome a weakness within ourselves, INSTEAD, we too often circulate an illusion of truth—a past misunderstanding, or a mis-creation, maybe—which takes us down a very different path than that of our energy. A dark path. Sometimes a very dark path." The lower Astral plane once again crept in to mind, but I put it down and continued.
