Suddenly I felt a familiar presence and turned quickly, anticipating Wyllen. There walking beside me was Master J'. He took my hand.

"Surprised?" He asked, smiling his usual mischievous grin.

"No, not really," I replied. "I—I mean yes."

"Which is it?" He chuckled.

"Yes, and no." I said. "It's just that your presence feels so familiar, so similar to Wyl's, that when you took my hand, I was expecting you to be him."

"You mean hoping, don't you?"

"That, too." I said. "I really feel ready and willing to share Eternity with him."

"Eternity? I suppose," he fairly agreed, still chuckling. "And I'm sure that you are willing. It could be no other way. But you are still just a child beginning to learn about and to understand some the reality to which your path is leading. So . . . ready is another story. Preparing to embark might be more appropriate."

We entered the Valley Forest, following the silvery path of a Moonbeam oozing its way through the darkened Wood. When we reached the end of its light, we stopped. "You see—" Master J' bent and folded back the greenery of a low-growing leafy plant, revealing a roseate Toadstool glistening in the moonlight, its cap fringed with blue and deepening to purple at the extreme outer edge "—you may well have had a glimpse of Eternity and shared a moment of Pure Love during your little experience, but did you not notice something missing? Did you not realize, much like yourself, that a part of Wyllen was not there?"

"True," I said, gazing at Toadstool, not mentioning the fact that Dorothy (same as Wyllen) lay fast asleep somewhere very yet not so very far away. "But I didn't realize it so, then. At least not at first," I broadened, unsure now and wondering if our experience had even been real; or just how real. (I could feel Master J' behind me, raising his non-interfering eyebrows). "But it had to be real, Master J'! It seemed so real! Too real, even! Especially when we gazed into each other's eyes! That's what started it all—Jay. And all which led up to our experience? And all which happened during? And all which came after?" I felt the moment of our cryptic-union penetrating my awareness; but too vast, too deep, and too far away it was that I could not enfold it. Nor, I suppose, really, had I enfolded it in total then.

"And do you realize now," he continued with his brush of questions, "do you realize that Wyl, although he did have the same experience, did not experience your union through the same eyes as you? And that the way in which he DID perceive and experience your union would highly amaze you if indeed you had seen through his eyes?"

"You mean he wasn't really there with me?"

"Yes and no."

"Hmm." A paradox, I calculated.

"Given the circumstances and your level of awareness, love, at this point Perpetual Motion would be a better truth for you now," he said: "Your level of awareness, Level 42, and going up?"

Suddenly it all came clear. My perception of what Master J' was driving at, that is. But it was painful for me to consider it. Even so, the Master's silence confirmed what I myself knew. I needed to take a deeper look.
