["D/A" narrates —A.A.]
I wanted to stay angry at the world for what it had done to us. I wanted to hang on to this place in mind that thought it knew. Just for a little while. But I couldn't, for my searing tears were quickly warming down now, as gratitude (and joy, I suppose) for the release of some long-suppressed energy within myself overruled. And who could I blame, anyway? The world? (No.) My parent? (No.) Nor my parent's parent, nor his. There were no solutions along this line. Blame not for me. (Not for anyone, really.) Just my own truth, evermore fully now, that could be shared with others as on down the road the opportunity arose. Seek the One Path, right? That was all I could do. Right, Dorothy? Others, each for themselves, could only do similarly as cyclical-forces return to their world—ever more rapidly now—bringing opportunity for refinement and new and greater understanding.
'Baptism by fire . . .' Mm-hmm. FIRE, know it well. Right, Doe?
Rapt with clearer understanding (but we're still a little angry!) the purple-rose sphere returned to mind's-eye view. And the image, turbulent (reflective of our sense of well-being!), sucked within itself (again, within itself . . . sigh), and three afterburners fired and it sped off, forward. I knew it had yet to manifest on my Walk (oh, we know!). For as clear as I felt now, and truly grateful, and somewhat joyful (and somewhat angry), still there was occurring separation in my mind, still there was occurring the adulteration of energy's movement within me which was causing the separation (anger, right?), and still there was work to be done.
            'Baptism by fire . . .'
The Vision was gone (seems so), and another moment became another now. I sat myself up in bed. Clearly the Vision's forward movement through itself had spawned new feelings, but there was turmoil within them. Turmoil playing upon the surface of mind. And at present (same as in the past), the Vision-remnants were strongly suggesting that "feeling" was still the only true sanitizer that could clean up the adulterated energies and then bring them to surface-mind raised. Or at least upgraded. But equally the Vision had (for we can't ignore the essence of Deep Memory about it, can we?) the scent of an Ancient Past suggesting a different time on Earth, while synchronously it reeked of the Near Future and tribulation. Yet the Vision had also seemingly forecast a time of Greater Beauty which would soon be unfolding, but only if we can learn to see that through it all, and behind it all, Beauty was and is truly there.
There is a place in mind where anger's relentless reactive-quality of expression lives: in my mind, a place not capable of raised-consciousness . . . a place that must be purged. (Purged! Baptism by Fire!) But does not raised consciousness REQUIRE that one become aware of his own reactive nature? Isn't it part and parcel to raised consciousness that one observe and realize he is in reaction (maybe playing "old tapes"), and that he should teach this place in mind the hows and whys of response? Reaction halts the flow of energy through the seven portals of being. Or, rather, we could say, reaction is the fruit of an adulterated energy that has found its "cozy place" upon surface mind, where it remains most unnoticed, expressing comfortably its reactive capacity. Still (sigh), it's all part of growing the personality! It is, Dorothy! Surely it is! But there comes a time and an opportunity for the raising of said capacity into response to the Creative Forces; a time when personality is being asked to play a larger role in life; a time when surface-mind becomes one with the One Mind, where individuality reigns and personality is no more. (Ah!) But one must first realize that a portion of his growing individuality is lost in reaction; he must catch himself in the act . . . preferably before his conditionings cause him to react and block the true purpose of his e/motions. Having done so (all in a millisecond, of course), one must then respond to that very same energy-in-motion and express it as a continuation of an unadulterated-energy rising through him! Right, Doe?
