zoe was sat in the living in her mum's house as she watched mason play fifa with her little brother.
"ZOE, CAN YOU GET THE DOOR." holly, zoe's mum, shouted as zoe complained under her breath but went and opened the door.
"auntie t! uncle sean!" zoe said, bringing her auntie and uncle in for a hug but then seeing declan who brushed past her.
"declan! don't be so rude." teresa said to her son.
"it's fine teresa, just leave him. sean, teresa my mum is in the kitchen, she are waiting for yous." zoe laughed as she gave lauren a tight hug.
"you have that pregnancy glow but how've you been?" lauren said as they both walked into the living room after zoe locked the door.
"alright, little miss won't calm down, not giving me a break." zoe said as lauren nodded.
"like her dad then?" lauren said and zoe laughs.
mason hands declan the ps5 controller then sat next to zoe. everyone felt the tension in the air but zoe didn't care.
"you look tired baby." mason whispered and zoe hummed.
"i am, but i can't be arsed for him right now." zoe whispered as she lay her head on mason's chest.
"DINNER IS READY, JACOB TURN THE TV OFF PLEASE." holly shouted from the dining room.
"BUT MUM, I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF A GAME WITH DEC." jacob, zoe's little brother, shouted back but zoe just turned the tv off.
everyone sat down at the table and just to zoe's luck, she's sat opposite declan. mason was next to her with his hand on her thigh, gently caressing it which sent butterflies straight to her stomach.
as everyone ate their dinner, the tension didn't go unnoticed.
"why are you staring at zo like your going to kill her?" jacob said to declan who looked at him.
"because your sister doesn't care about me." declan said.
"don't you fucking go there with caring about you, WHEN WILL YOU FUCKING CARE ABOUT ME! DEC, YOU SAID THAT IF I WAS TO EVER DATE MASE YOU WOULD TELL MY MUM THAT I WAS DATING TYLER! I WON'T EVER DATE HIM AFTER WHAT HE DID TO ME, HE FORCED ME TO DO STUFF WHICH I DIDN'T WANT TO DO AND MAKE ME BLOCK EVERYONE OUT OF MY LIFE. BUT WHY CAN'T YOU JUST FUCKING ACCEPT THAT I'M. DATING YOU BEST MATE. I CAN'T BE IN THE SAME ROOM AS YOU ANYMORE, I'M LEAVING, SORRY MUM." zoe shouted,walking out of the dinning room and everyone could tell that what declan said affected her.
zoe hates mentioning tyler because mason doesn't know about it due to him being on loan. but what happened is that because tyler was controlling, he made zoe block her family out of her life and make her do stuff she didn't want to do. but declan doesn't know what actually happened but now he does.
"sorry." mason excused himself from the table and looked everywhere for zoe but he couldn't find her.
he eventually found her, sat in the living room sobbing. his heart broke for her knowing that she went through that alone. he sat next to her, embracing her in for a hug and she just sobbed even more.
"it's okay love, shhh, you have to calm down for baby girl." mason whispered.
"follow my breathing, ok?" mason whispered as he noticed that zoe's breath is getting quicker and quicker.
zoe followed mason's breathing which calmed her down but she just kept hugging mason.
"i'm sorry you had to see that, he just rattled me so much." zoe said as mason just laughed.
"can't lie you looked like a badass but why didn't you tell me about your ex?" mason said and zoe just sighed.
"i hate talking about it and declan doesn't even know what happened properly, he just knows that i had to block everyone out of my life." zoe said and mason just kissed her head.
"don't talk about it okay bub? i can tell you don't want to." mason said as zoe nodded.
"we should probably head back in there." zoe said, standing up.
she cupped mason's face and kissed him before holding his hands then walking back into the dining room. they walked back in and sat back down.
"you okay now pumpkin?" holly said and zoe nodded.
"yeah mum, mase calmed me down." zoe said as mason smiled.
"i'm sorr-" declan started but everyone stared at him.
"don't even try and apologise, i won't be forgiving it." zoe said to him.
zoe knew that declan had to do a lot more than just say sorry for what he had just caused.
