zoe smiled as she saw jaz waiting for her at the entrance of the stadium. she tested negative for covid last night and was on the next flight to abu dhabi. unfortunately she had missed the first half as she only just got to the hotel she booked a couple hours ago which meant she had to get ready which included putting macie in the baby carrier which is already stressing her out.
"heyy!" zoe said as jaz gave her hug, being careful of macie.
"you look so stressed." jaz said as zoe nodded.
"i am, i landed two hours ago and i missed the first half." zoe said as they both walked in.
jaz handed her a pass which she had got from mason without revealing who it was for because zoe hasn't told mason that she was flying out. they both made it to where they were sat and zoe gave both lewis and debbie a hug.
"finally i can sit down." zoe joked as she took a seat next to debbie.
"how's your mum sweetie?" debbie asked and zoe gave her a smile.
"she's fine deb, she's at her sisters with jake where chris can't find her, i'm just grateful i saved them before he did something you know?" zoe said and debbie nodded before giving the twenty three year old a cuddle.
the second half had started and zoe placed the ear defenders on macie's ears so she'll sleep peacefully. zoe looked around the pitch and mason wasn't there. she knew he was starting because when she was in the hotel she checked the lineup so she was confused to where mason was.
ten minutes later, romelu lukaku scored which made whole stadium buzz but that soon went down hill when palmeiras got a penalty which made the score one all. as the minutes past the game became more intense with both sides trying to break the tie.
added extra time was needed. in first fifteen minutes nothing happened but in the second half, with three minutes to spare chelsea was given the chance to break the equaliser. kai havertz took the penalty and he scored. the whole stadium erupted and zoe smiled seeing the team she's supported since she was a kid win the only trophy they have yet to win.

zoe watched as mason hobbled over with the help of a trainer. she quickly hid behind lewis because she doesn't want mason to see her. her heart broke for him when she got first glance of him with a bandage on his ankle.
"congrats sweetie!" debbie said, embracing her younger son into a hug.
"thanks mum, just wish zoe was here." mason said with sadness but he noticed that everyone had a smirk on their faces.
"what? you mean this zoe." lewis said, moving out of view to reveal zoe stood there with a gleaming smile on her face.
"oh my god, baby!" mason said as zoe stepped forward and gave him a hug, being very careful of macie.
the couple stood there for about ten minutes just cuddling as they haven't seen each other in about a week which is longest they've gone without seeing each other.
"right mase, we've got to go." debbie said as mason finally let go of zoe as gave his siblings and mum a hug before they departed.
"macie missed you so fucking much." zoe said as she got macie out of the baby carrier and handed mason their daughter.
"oh my god, she's wearing the chelsea onesie i got when we first found out."
