zoe finally made it to her seat, she's decided just to get front row seats as near where the chelsea bench was because she knew she could easily hand over macie if mason came off during the match and also so she could climb over and sit with him.
she noticed that the match was about to start which was lucky because mason would of probably had a go at her if she dared missed the match like she did earlier in the month.
as the match progressed, it became more intense with both teams wanting to score a goal. by half time it was goalless. both of the teams fans were getting restless and so was macie.
even though macie had her ear defenders on and is in the baby carrier, she still couldn't stop crying and it was beginning to annoy zoe so 29 minutes into the next half, mason was subbed off for a reason not related to macie or anything.
as soon as he saw zoe sat near the bench, he instantly gave her a smile and told the security guard to get her and so that was the security guard did. zoe walked all the way round and then walking onto the bench, receiving some dirty looks from some of the staff as macie cried but zoe didn't care.
"hey baby." zoe said as she sat next to mason who instantly gave her a tired smile.
"hi love, do you want me to take her?" mason said, talking about macie, and zoe nodded.
zoe took macie out, handing her over to mason and she instantly calmed down but zoe just instantly lay her head down on mason's shoulder whilst she watched the rest of the match.
added extra time still didn't break the tie between chelsea and liverpool so penalties was needed and this is where it all went down for chelsea. the goalkeeper kepa arrizabalaga missed the penalty that was needed and that's when she saw mason slump down in the seat with macie on his chest.
she gave him a soft smile before placing a kiss on his forehead and just played with his hair. she felt bad for him because she knows how badly he wanted to win for her and macie.
"please don't be upset, me and macie are still really proud of you."
