zoe was sat in the spare bedroom which is now her new room. she didn't want to confront mason about him cheating on her but today she wanted to. she knows it will break her heart knowing this but maybe he wasn't cheating.
she heard her favourite song play, 'here with me' and obviously it's her favourite song so she walks downstairs and follows the sound. she walks into the living room to see mason stood in the middle of an amazing set up.
"mase, is this for your side-chick or something? i'll go." zoe said, tears welling up in her eyes.
"zoe, i haven't got a side-chick but can you stand here for me." mason said calmly, also feeling the worst.
zoe just listened to him. she had tears rolling down her blushed cheeks. she watched as mason got down on one knee, holding her hands.
"zoe, over the past what 11 months, i've been my happiest self and that's all to you. thank you for giving us the chance even if it risked losing your cousin. i want this happiness to last forever so," mason said as he pulled out a velvet red box.
zoe was speechless.
"zoe lily rice, will you do me the honours of becoming my wife?" mason said and zoe couldn't speak.
she nodded.
mason slipped the ring on her finger, zoe watched as it shimmered in the lighting.
it's the ring she has always wanted.
"so there's no side-chick?" zoe said and mason stood up.
"no, why would i need a side-chick when i have you?" mason said, wiping zoe's tears.
"but you were so secretive that past couple weeks." zoe murmured into his chest and mason laughed.
"i can't have you knowing that i'm proposing to you can i?" mason laughed and zoe shook her head.
"i love you mrs mount." mason said, watching as zoe looked happy.
"i love you mr mount." zoe said as the couple shared a kiss.
"as long as i'm here with you, i've got a smile on my face." zoe hummed and mason smiled.
"that's my favourite lyric of the whole song, it reminds me of us."
