People.

No.

Animals?

No?

People with animal features?

" Yeah... I must be dreaming... Or worse... Dead..."

An orange-haired kid was looking from a bush as he looked at a place where he doesn't even know if it even exists.

Different beings were walking around the huge place.

It looks like a market.

A big and shiny market.

Their walls even the pillars of their stores are made out of gold or marble.

Just what is this?

Is this the place inside the mysterious mountain?

Of course, it would be.

Just by the look of everything in here is what he'll imagine if there's a mysterious mountain hiding something from humans in plain sight.

The seal must be some kind of protection from any outer beings from the mountain.

"But who was that man? My savior."

He asked himself as he dusted off his dirty clothes.

Well.

As long as he's safe here then it's a win-win situation.

He steps out from the bushes and no one seems to care to even take a look at him.

That's good.

He doesn't want to be an outcast again.

Knowing that he has no animalistic features he might have a hard time getting a job here if he has to survive.

He sighed in disappointment as he slowly looked at every store in the streets.

"I need to find a place to stay for the night... Better yet, a place for a job and a stayover..."

As he walked around the strange streets of this strange place, his eye caught something which made him walk that way.

A simple store with black-haired woman with the beauty of a goddess was the owner of the store.

She looks so amazing with her wearing a simple long-sleeved dress that was able to capture her soft curves.

She has the ears of a black cat and the tail of one as well.

But instead of only one tail, she has two?!

"Wow..."

He made a sound that caught the woman's attention.

Her black pupils met the orange ones.

The kid clasped his mouth in shock as he stood still frozen looking at the woman staring back at him.

Her eyes seem to be looking for something around his body.

And he knew what.

He doesn't have any tail, ears, wings, or anything.

He sighed again as he walked away from her store.

Not until someone stopped him from doing so.

A hand was stopping him in his tracks as he suddenly got pulled inside a secret door.

He was frightened as he almost shouted in fear but the woman was able to cover his mouth before he did so.

"Shh... You must be lost... But I have to ask you some questions before I help you out... Don't worry I won't hurt you..."

The beautiful woman said as she lit a candle to her lamp as the room brightened up.

There were unusual symbols around the room.

Unusual paintings and items in every glass bottle or bowl.

Just what is she?

"You don't look like you're from here... Just by your physical body... Where did you come from?"

She asked calmly as she gave him a cup of, no water.

He looked at her confused as she chuckled and suddenly made an enchantment on the cup and water started building inside it.

She looked at him sweetly as she gestured to drink the water.

"Don't worry it's not poisoned, promise."

He stared at her for a minute and began drinking the water.

It was.

REFRESHING?!

He gulped down the water like no tomorrow as he hasn't drunk any for a week straight.

The woman smiled as she then let him sit on a small chair.

"I came from the outside..."

"Outside? Where?"

"From the mountains."

She froze as she heard his answer.

She looked at him and her eyes began to twinkle in amusement as she has never seen or met someone like him before.

She then grabbed his hands and made a promise, no more like an agreement.

"I can let you stay with me, but for a condition, of course."

He nod and looked at her seriously.
