"GRIAN!" Scar screams his name, making him almost jump out of his seat.
"What!?" Grian asks, upset that he yelled loudly without a warning.
"YOUR WING!" Scar frantically starts looking in his inventory as Pesky Bird quickly flies off Grian, landing next to Jellie.
Grian confusingly looks at his left wing, seeing nothing wrong.
"What?" Grian looks back up at Scar who then runs out to find a water bucket.
Pesky Bird tweets in a panic and Grian quickly looks at his right wing..
It's burning up in flames.
He starts panicking, he stands up, trying to put the fire out the best he could.
"G!" Scar runs back in, throwing the bucket of water on Grians wing and the fire in the fireplace.
Grian throws himself back on the chair in relief.
"You o..k.." Scar slowly starts trailing off as he stares at Grian's wing.
"Yeah.. I'm fine" Grian sighs and looks up at the celling of the room.
"Your.. uh.. wing is.. kinda glowing.." Scar hesitantly says, while pointing at Grians wing.
"Huh-?" Grian looks over at his right wing. "Oh it's just.. WAIT! NO NO NO!" He starts panicking and trying to cover up his wing.
It was glowing purple with little burnt bits on it that used to be paint.
"Grian! Are you ok!?" Scar manages to say, racing over to Grian and puts his hands on Grian's shoulders.
"I- I- I-" Grian keeps trying to cover his wing.
"Grian.. Just tell me if you're ok.." Scar gives a sad and worried look.
Grian doesn't answer, but his eyes start tearing up. No one has asked him that in a long time, at least not genuinely.
"Hey, hey, hey.. G.. It'll be alright.." Scar starts comforting Grian as soon as he sees him start crying.
"I- I'm-" Grian gives up on talking and just starts crying.
Scar pulls Grian into a hug and holds him close. He rubs Grians back and his wings.
Grian cries into Scar's shoulder, trying to calm down.
Scar starts humming, still trying to calm Grian down.
"As long as I'm here" Scar's humming slowly starts turning into singing.
"N-no one c-an hur-t you.." Grian quietly tries to sing along with Scar, still trying to calm down.
"Don't wanna lie here.." Scar plays with Grian's hair a bit as he continues.
"Bu-t you c-can learn to.." Grian continues singing, slowly calming down.
"If I could change the way that you see yourself.. you wouldn't wonder why dear.." Scar holds Grian closer as he softly sings.
"They don't deserve you.." Grian finishes, calming down and almost falling asleep.
After a minute or two, Grian falls asleep in scars arms.
"This.. is not ok.." Scar says quietly to himself.
