Chapter 33

Before the doctor could finish his words, Grandma collapsed. She almost fell down to the floor but luckily Joo Hyuk was fast enough to catch her.

"How can this happen?" Krystal asked, she was heartbroken. She couldn't believe this was happening. Y/N was doing great just yesterday, how could this happen?

"We just need to be ready for any possibilities. We will make sure to put our utmost effort to protect both the patient and the baby." The doctor explained.

"Save the mother." Jimin said.

Even though it was hard, they could have another kid. But there was only one Y/N.

"Doctor please, you need to do your best to protect my granddaughter-in-law and the baby inside her." Grandma paused to breathe. "And you also need to save her umbilical cord to save her brother." She reminded.

"No need to worry, Mr Park already reminded us before."

They already knew about this matter and Joon Min stayed here for a long time before. They also had an examination before to check if it was suitable for Joon Min and the result said yes. They also had prepared a schedule for Joon Min's surgery after Y/N giving birth to the baby which was in a few months for now. But unexpectedly, it was going to be a premature birth.

Jimin signed the consent paper and the doctor finally returned to the operation room.

Y/N was in a lot of pain, but it wasn't the time to give birth. She just laid down on bed and gasped for breath. Her tears fell down, trying to endure the pain. The door was opened and closed again, she knew the doctor and nurses who were out before had already reentered the room. But her mind was too occupied for the baby inside her womb.

Because it was an emergency C-section they needed to use general anesthesia so Y/N would lose her consciousness. But she tried to stay awake, she was conscious during the procedure. She was numb and powerless. Didn't know how long it had been but she could faintly hear the doctor's voice saying: "It's out, it's a girl."

Y/N's gaze was spinning, she tried to focus her awareness on her surroundings. There was no cry from the baby. But finally he noticed a weak crying sound. She couldn't bear it anymore and lost consciousness.

The operation room door was opened. Everyone immediately surrounded the doctor. "Doctor, how is it? How is the patient and the baby?" Shin Ji asked with an anxious face.

The doctor opened his mask. "It was a success, it's a baby girl. She is now inside the incubator, we need to monitor her progression for a few days as she is in a weak state. The patient is okay, but she's still unconscious.

"Do you mean that the baby is still in danger?" Grandma asked.

Neon Yun who was standing beside her said: "Mom, she's premature. We just need to wait for several days. No need to worry."

Grandma casted a glance at her. "How could she give birth prematurely without a cause?"

Neon Yun panicked and lowered her head. "Mom, do you suspect that I did something?"

"Let me tell you something Neon Yun, I will have this checked thoroughly. If it was you, I would kick you out from the Park family and I won't let you stay in this city!"

"Just ignore her, let's see Y/N and the baby." Joo Hyuk patted her shoulder.

Jimin was already inside the patient's room. Y/N was still unconscious so he went to see their baby. She was inside the incubator, he could see her tiny figure. He felt heartbroken.

Grandma who was standing outside the baby room sighed. "I hope she is able to hold on."

Of course she understood what the doctor meant. This baby was not in a good condition, nobody knew if she could make it or not.
