T/W: Fluff :')
"Yes," Jimin replied, playing along.
The old woman was now really interested in them. "Your kid is already this big, but you two are just about to register your marriage now?"
"We came to remarry..." Jimin pointed at Y/N. "Two years ago, she broke up with me, but now she is begging me to come back, so I gave her a chance."
"Oh..." Now she was fully invested in their story, which old woman didn't like controversial dramas? "Young woman, why did you break up with him? Was it because he's a player?" She shifted her gaze back to Jimin and eyed him up and down. "I can see that this young man has good looks..." She then examined his eyes. "His eyes can easily provoke a lot of women..."
"And he couldn't control himself, had a lot of women, right?" She added.
Before the old woman could finish her words, Jimin was on the brink of exploding. "Ahjumma, I'm incredibly faithful! She's the only woman in my sights, and I have zero interest in anyone else. To me, every other woman might as well be a man. My body responds only to her!"
Y/N almost choked on her own saliva, shocked by Jimin's candidness. She couldn't believe he had said such intimate things in a public setting.
The old woman, however, appeared skeptical. She had always thought that handsome men were usually unfaithful, which was why she had chosen the least attractive suitor among those who pursued her for marriage.
Curious, she inquired, "So, young lady, why did you break up with him?"
Jimin turned to Y/N, raising his eyebrows as if to say, 'Your turn.' All eyes were on her as the old woman awaited her response.
Y/N had to stifle her frustration with Jimin, but she recognized his determination to make this work, and she didn't want to see him disappointed.
She explained, "There was a misunderstanding between us, which led to our separation."
The old woman appeared perplexed. "And now you want him back?"
Y/N bit her lower lip and maintained her smile. "Yes, I begged him to get back together with me and register our marriage. I was afraid we were going to be late, so we rushed here..."
The old woman nodded in agreement. "Today does seem like an auspicious day."
Jimin saw an opportunity. "Could you please open the door and let us in?" he asked, cautiously hopeful.
The old woman smiled but shook her head. "No."
Jimin was furious. "Why?"
"Because I am only the cleaner here, I can open the door, but who will help you with the administration? The employees had already gone home. You two came too late. Today is indeed a good day, but why didn't you come earlier? A lot of couples queued starting from 7 this morning. You are too..."
Jimin's expression dropped, and it darkened even further as the old woman continued to ramble. He hadn't expected that his attempt to win her over would be in vain. He had genuinely thought he could make it work.
Y/N carried Joon Min back to the car and turned back to see the man still standing there. "Aren't you coming?"
Jimin's mood was thoroughly ruined, and he silently returned to the car. Just as they were about to leave, there was a knock on the window.
"What is it, Ahjumma?" Jimin asked, still frustrated.
"I just want to let you know that tomorrow is also a good day. Don't get too upset; just come here early to register your marriage." The old woman smiled kindly.
