Chapter 40

The both were silent for a moment until Y/N remembered about the car accident. "The police will come to investigate tomorrow. You were driving under the influence. How could you drive when you were drunk?"

"How could I worry about it so much? Jin went home to his wife, Taemin went home to Krystal, even Taehyung went to continue his date. I was left alone." He started making excuses.

Y/N glared at him. "So you were looking for excitement?"

Jimin coughed and looked the other way. "My brain was not working that well."

"What happened to the other car then?" She asked, worried that Jimin might harm people on the street because of his actions.

"It was a single-vehicle accident. I swerved to avoid hitting any car and crashed the sidewalk." He explained.

She felt relieved that no one else was hurt. "You can't drink again!"

He gasped. "You can't ask me to do that, drinking is my life!" He stated.

"I thought you said I'm your life?" Y/N raised her eyebrow.

He cleared his throat and avoided her gaze. "Okay, I won't drive after I drink."

Y/N looked at his IV drip. It was almost finished. She was about to press the bell to call the nurse but when she turned her head, he already took it off by himself. Because he did it harshly and carelessly, it was quite bloody.

She took the tissue to wipe it. "How can you always do this? Why can't you just wait for the nurse?"

"Wouldn't the nurse do it in the same way?" He furrowed his eyebrows, mumbling to himself.

Jimin's recovery was relatively fast. For only a week, he was able to get off the bed and took a little walk around. A few days after that, he was finally able to get his gypsum off and finally discharged from the hospital.

The day he was discharged, Jimin said that he wanted to eat Y/N's home cook meals. So after she picked him up and sent him home, she went to the nearest grocery store to buy the ingredients.

Jimin was waiting in Joon Min's room and accompanied him to play videogames. But the butler knocked on the door a few times. "There's a lawyer downstairs waiting for you, Sir. He said he is Ms Choi's lawyer."

After being arrested, Joo Hyuk also sent Neon Yun a divorce papers. As she wasn't part of the Park family now, the butler also didn't address her as Mrs Park anymore.

Jimin furrowed his eyebrows. Why did her lawyer want to see him? Neon Yun refused to say who was the mastermind behind it all, was she willing to tell him now?

He stroked Joon Min's head. "Joonie, Dad has something to do."

"Okay." Joon Min's eyes were focused on the screen.

Jimin left his room and went downstairs. He noticed a man who was wearing gray suits. When he saw Jimin, he immediately stood up to greet him. "Mr Park."

Jimin entered the living room and nodded to him.

When everyone finally seated, he opened his suitcase and took a folder out and also took a piece of paper from his wallet. "Mr Park, this is my business card. My name is Moon Taeil, Ms Choi's lawyer."

Jimin found it quite interesting. "You are her lawyer?"

Lawyer Moon nodded. "Yes, I am the legal aid. Ms Choi didn't have a lawyer so the court delegates me as her public attorney." He explained.

Jimin put his business card down on the table. "Why do you come here to see me?"

"Ms Choi asked for you. She wants to see you."
