Y/N carefully packed a bag with Joon Min's belongings, making sure to include his favorite toys and comfort items. As she did so, her mind raced with anticipation and a tinge of nervousness. It had been a long time since Shin Ji had seen Joon Min, and Y/N hoped that their reunion would be a joyous one.
Despite Y/N's repeated attempts, Jimin's phone remained unanswered. She grew increasingly concerned as each call went straight to voicemail. A sense of unease washed over her, wondering where he could be and why he wasn't picking up.
She decided to give Taehyung a call, knowing that he had been reassigned as Jimin's assistant.
"President Park is currently in a crucial meeting regarding the company's ongoing issues. It's been quite intense lately. But don't worry, I'll arrange for someone to come and take you and Joonie to the Song residence. I'll let him know after the meeting."
"Okay. Thank you, Taehyungie."
Trying to push aside her worries, Y/N focused on getting Joon Min ready to leave. She wanted to ensure they had everything they needed for their stay at the Song residence.
Y/N helped Joon Min to put on his shoes as they prepared to leave. Once they were ready, she walked towards the front door, where a driver was waiting for them. The driver greeted her with a warm smile, indicating that he was there to assist them.
The driver opened the car door for them. Y/N carefully settled Joon Min into his seat, ensuring his safety. Once she was satisfied, she climbed into the car and fastened her seatbelt.
"Ms Song, where are we going?"
Y/N recognized the man sitting behind the wheel of the car. He was one of Jimin's trusted men who had been assigned to guard and protect Joon Min. Although she had seen him before, they had never interacted much beyond exchanging a few polite greetings.
"To the Song residence, sorry to trouble you."
"As you wish, Ms." The driver nodded and focused on the road ahead, maintaining a professional demeanor. Y/N settled into her seat, glancing at Joon Min, making sure he was comfortable.
Y/N dialed Shin Ji's number and waited as the call connected. She felt a mixture of excitement and nervousness, eager to share the news that she was bringing Joon Min to see her after such a long time apart.
Shin Ji wasted no time in getting everything ready to welcome them back. She gathered the ingredients and called for the maid to assist her in making dumplings, one of Joon Min's favorite dishes.
The aroma of the filling, a delectable combination of minced meat, vegetables, and spices, filled the kitchen. She skillfully folded the dumpling wrappers, filling each one with care. The maid joined in, their hands working in sync as they created a batch of delicious dumplings.
The anticipation grew as Shin Ji imagined the joy on Joon Min's face when he tasted the homemade dumplings. She knew how much he loved them, and this was her way of showing him how much she had missed him.
As they arrived at the Song residence, they were greeted by the comforting sight of Shin Ji diligently wrapping dumplings in the kitchen. The room was filled with the aroma of various fillings and the sound of Shin Ji's skilled hands folding the dumpling wrappers.
"You're here already, I haven't finished yet." Shin Ji hurriedly went to her.
Shin Ji watched Joon Min closely, unsure of how he would respond. She was aware of the changes he had gone through during his time away and didn't want to push him into an uncomfortable situation. With a gentle smile, she waved her hand at Joon Min and softly asked, "Joonie, do you remember grandma?"
