In Y/N's perspective, even with Kim Yugyeom's appearance, it couldn't really confirm Jungkook's involvement. It could be his own doing and tried to put the blame on Jungkook. There was a big fight within the Jeon family because of the illegitimate child, perhaps Kim Yugyeom was helping that bastard kid. But the probability was too small, Kim Yugyeom had been on Jungkook's side for a long time. They were also best friends.
Moreover, the Jeon family didn't have any kind of resentment or any grudges on the Park family. Why should he attack the Park family?
Or perhaps they wanted to put the blame on Jungkook, so the Park family would attack him and he wouldn't have time to deal with the Jeon family matters.
There were too many possibilities.
Jimin could admit that in the relationship, he was a narrow-minded and inconsiderate man. He didn't believe that man and woman could be just friends, especially when he knew Jungkook loved Y/N deeply and he also knew there was a special place for Jungkook inside Y/N's heart.
Even now, Y/N still chose to believe in Jeon Jungkook. Jimin couldn't describe the feelings inside. He knew that Y/N regarded Jungkook as a brother but he was still not happy about it.
"Kim Yugyeom is here and you're not a bit suspicious about it?" Jimin asked in disbelief.
Y/N slowly raised her head and gazed at him. "This does not prove Jungkook's involvement."
As she spoke, Jimin stared and looked directly in her eyes. His gaze almost seemed troubled, though his expression remained stoic, giving off no hint about what he thought. "Yes." He said coldly. "But it doesn't prove he is not involved either. He is now the main suspect, and you don't have even a hint of doubt about Jeon Jungkook?"
"Jimin, I don't know." Y/N cried and covered her eyes. "I really don't know."
She put her hands on his waist and buried her face on his chest. "I don't know what to believe anymore. How could my Pa and my sister do this to me? Even my Ma, she took his side and begged me to forgive them. How could my own family do this to me? And now, Jungkook? I lost my daughter, how could they all betray me like this? What did I do to deserve this?" Y/N started to cry again.
At this moment she just realized that she was really a woman with bad luck.
Upon hearing her cries, Jimin felt that his heart was being stabbed with a thousand knives. This life was agony for them both.
He couldn't help but to think that he failed her, again and again. He felt he was really a useless husband who was not able to protect her and also their baby daughter.
Jimin gave her a gentle kiss on the top of her head and wiped her tears. "No matter who it was, I will make them pay." He said as he also swore to himself.
"I will investigate Jungkook's involvement further. What you said was right, this can't prove anything. I will have people follow Kim Yugyeom." Jimin said.
"Don't be sad, okay? My heart hurts seeing you cry." He whispered and kissed each of her cheeks where the tears had wet her eyes.
Before she could say anything, her phone rang. She pulled it out and saw the ID. It was Shin Ji, at this moment, her voice was the last thing she wanted to hear. She must be calling for Jun Seo.
Y/N wanted to just ignore it but Jimin grabbed the phone and turned it off. "She really has no shame."
Jimin clutched her face and. "Don't cry anymore, Joonie would be sad seeing you like this."
Y/N nodded as Jimin held her hands. "Let's go take a walk, we'll be back for dinner."
"Where are we going?" Y/N's voice was hoarse from all the crying.
