Despite the rumors that were flying around school Coach Stevens had no problem pulling Ronnie from homeroom and while Ronnie didn't reemerge until third period Coach Stevens had been seen in all his other classes... so maybe the rumors were just that, rumors. Still didn't stop people from talking, I tried not to get involved in those discussions because it was none of my business, my focus was on Carter who had been in a bad mood all morning. Last night, into this morning he had been arguing with Bianca about Corrina, and given how he was acting I could tell Carter was losing the argument; I really didn't know what to do... because as badly as I wanted to support my dude, I actually agreed with Bianca. The crazy part is that she wasn't the only one thinking about leaving, Lavercier had been trying to convince me to come to Georgia for school and while I was undecided... everything that had been going on in the city was really affecting my decision... I just didn't feel safe here and my mom was considering making that move down south as well, she was looking for a fresh start, and with all my family being there... maybe..... But I loved Carter and leaving him was...... it was complicated, but wasn't complicated was dodgeball, so when I walked into the gym and saw all the red balls lined up I knew nothing else matter but SURVIVAL.....

"XION NO HEAD SHOTS!!!!!" The gym teachers yelled but what did she expect? This was war and we were all seniors, rules really didn't apply to us and she quickly realized that as she sat down and went back to reading her magazine. It was down to me and this one chick name Big Steve, that's been her name since elementary school she was 6'9, 350 but quick and extremely flexible.

"Come on Big Steve lemme get this one so we can get outta here... I hear we're having beef-a-roni for lunch, I know you can smel...." If I hadn't been paying attention my head would've been taken off my shoulders but Big Steve wasn't playing. "Aight so that's how you wanna play it....." I said as we went back and forth trying to destroy the other person.

"OH MY GOD!!!!!" This girl cried out and everyone started heading towards the door creating a huge crowd.... while she was distracted I smacked Big Steve with the dodgeball and won the game... but at what cost because now she looked like she was going to kill me.

"COME ON BIG STEVE!!!" I said running around the gym, hoping to wear her out but it seemed like the more I ran the angrier she became and the faster she became.

"Shalita... why you fuckin with my bro?" Valentino said and all of a sudden Big Steve was blushing. "Xion, Carter's looking for you.... I think he's by the library." Valentino said as he began flirting with Big Steve and I got the hell outta dodge.

"Eww.... you're sweaty as fuck." Carter said as I tried to hug him but he quickly backed up. "Nah I'm just fuckin with you, but I was thinking we should go out for lunch... no point in staying here and eating this nasty ass food." Carter said and I as badly as I wanted to....

"I'm supposed to be going out to eat with Lavercier..... I can see if you can come with us." I added quickly but Carter just smiled and shook his head.

"Nah... go spend some time with your bro... I'll check up with you after school." Carter said kissing me on the cheek, he took two steps, stopped, turned around, and pulled me into his arms. "See you in a bit..." Carter said before racing off to his next class.

Lavercier decided to park three blocks away... normally I wouldn't mind the walk but it was snowing on top of the nine inches we got over the last week so I had to treck through the snow on top of barely being able to see through the fluffy white snowflakes all because my brother thought it would be weird for a college student to be around a high school.... Whatever the case, I hopped in his car and made sure I brought as much snow with me as possible. On the dashboard of his brand new car was an old picture of me, Lavercier, and my brother Jayceon..... we were so young and it hurt seeing it.
