Maybe I should've listened to Jace, maybe I should've stayed my ass in the house and cuddled up with my nigga but instead here I was sitting at a table with my ignorant ass brothers. Free was coo, in fact, me and Free had been growing closer since he and Landon moved up here.... Landon, on the other hand, was another story entirely; I didn't know if he was straight, gay, or bi, I didn't know if he was still fuckin my ex or messing around with that nigga Wes, I didn't know if he was purposely trying to get under my skin with the subliminal he kept throwing in my direction. What I did know is he had one more time and then I was going to beat his ass..... but Landon wasn't nor should he be my biggest concern.... nah right now I needed to focus on Quentarius. I wasn't stupid, everything about him screamed trouble and I'd much rather know what he hoped to gain by moving up here than to be left in the dark and the only way I could learn the motives were to play his little game. Quentarius sat at the head of the table he didn't say anything but he watched me a little too closely for my liking, just as I was about to ask him what his problem was the waiter walked over to take our order.

"I'm actually surprised that you decided to join us Lil Tay, I assume that would've preferred to stay in the safety of that group home you're staying in.... let me get four shots of Patron." Quentarius said to the waiter who looked like he was about to ask for an ID but quickly changed his mind with on look from Quentarius. "I heard pops was here not too long ago, what was his bitch ass talking about?" He asked looking around the table.

"His ain't shyt ass, ain't want shyt...." I said shrugging, I really didn't want to talk about our dad because in my eyes that nigga was a non-muthafuckin-factor. "So what's this all about Quen? Last time we spoke you said that the reason you were here is because you assume that I'm a killer and you have a 'vest interest' in my well being."

"That's true... plus I want to build a relationship with you and the rest of our siblings, I mean when was the last time we were all together? I can't even remember. I'm trying to build something huge for our family and in order for me to do that I need you.... you have a role to play Lil Tay and eventually, you'll learn what that role is. Why didn't your little boyfriend want to join us? Y'all niggas are boring and that little dude is funny." Quentarius asked.

"He didn't have the patience to deal with you and your cryptic messages, he felt like had he joined us he would've said something to piss you off and that would've led to a fight which would be counterproductive to the entire point of us meeting." I said looking at Quentarius.

"I'm glad he didn't come.... that nigga talks to damn much and he's always in someone else's business, what he needs to be worried about is that nigga Kameron." Landon said and if I hadn't been so curious as to what he was talking about I probably would've punched him. "Yeah I was riding around with that nigga Wes looking for some weed and we just so happened to see them talking.... I'm surprised that he didn't tell you considering that he never stops talking."

"Why don't y'all feel me in on who this nigga Kameron is and why whenever his name gets mentioned the vein in Lil Tay's forehead starts to pulse." Quentarius said looking around the table.

"How about we don't.... this is supposed to be about us bonding and not relitigating the past." Free said and Quentarius stared at him for a second before shrugging. We finished dinner making forced conversation and I was relieved that it was over.... or that's what I thought. "Come on let's get you back to the house." Free said but Quentarius had walked over to us and put him hand on my shoulder.

"I'll take Lil Tay home... y'all niggas go ahead and I'll catch y'all this weekend." Quentarius said, Free looked at me and I nodded letting him know that I was good before getting in his car and pulling off. "When'd you get to be so quiet Lil Tay? I remember when you were a kid your ass never stopped talking, you didn't give a fuck how big someone was you were always running your mouth and now it seems like you can speak."
