Carter 3

It was the first day of school and I really wasn't looking forward to it for several reasons, sure it was senior year but I'd much rather be laying in bed, or chillin with my daughter, or calling my dude to figure out why the fuck he hasn't called me.... See that was the primary reason I didn't want to go to school today because I couldn't go there not knowing what was going on with my baby, but of course there was one person in the house who was beyond ecstatic and that was Jace. I could hear him running around the house like a kid on Christmas and I just knew we'd have to go through Jace's First Day Inspection, I called my bro Valentino because I was half tempted to take my ass down to Atlanta and find Xion but of course he wanted to ask a million questions. I got out of bed and walked into the bathroom that I shared with Masai where he stood checking his reflection in the mirror, I didn't have an issue with dude but he didn't say shyt to me and I didn't say shyt to him, he seemed pretty nervous about going to school which was understandable but school wasn't nearly as bad as what was about happen before we left the house.

"ALRIGHT BITCHES LINE UP!!!!!" Jace said as we all gathered in the living room, no one moved but that didn't stop Jace from giving everyone the once over. "Quantavius... perfect as usual. Carter.... hmm.... I approve, but barely. Messy.... hmm you are currently in second behind me because I am living for that shirt. Idris... nice.... Oh, Rondell, sweetie I left your clothes on your bed why didn't you put them on?" Jace asked as if he was talking to a toddler.

"Jace this is the outfit you left out 'sweetie' I put it on because I really didn't feel like dealing with your shyt today." Ronnie said looking at Jace. "So now you're standing there looking stupid because once again you're criticizing something that YOU picked out."

"Oh well, you need to change because that outfit does nothing for your skin tone." Jace said waving him off. "Now I'm not trying to be late because you know I have to go and judge every single person's outfit as they walk into the school and I have to drag a few people who I haven't seen all summer... Oh God, what does this bitch want." Jace said quietly.

"You young men look so nice." Mrs. Grant said walking into the living room and grabbing the keys to the Yukon.

"Umm what are you doing sis?" Jace asked.

"I'm taking you guys to school....." Mrs. Grant said confused.

"Actually Devin said as long as there was a high school senior with a valid drivers license, we could take ourselves to school and since I meet those requirements I was going to drive." I said looking at her and she seemed a little disappointed.

"Well we should at least go over the rules of the road, you never know what could happen especially with a bunch of teenagers in a car together, so no loud gangster music, make sure you guys all wear your seatbelts and please obey all traffic laws." Mrs. Grant said walking off.

"Oh I really don't like that bitch, the other day I was eating a triple bacon cheeseburger from Freckle Bitches and she went on this hour-long spiel about how fast food is unhealthy and I should a vegan diet, like this bitch don't know I live for meat in my mouth... and y'all can take that, however, y'all want now let's go, I got shotgun." Jace said running outside, thank God I didn't have any classes with his ass.

We got to school and I swear I hated being the first ones here, but it was necessary because I wanted to watch the doors and see if Xion showed up. We were directed to the auditorium to pick up our class schedules, Jace and Masai went off with the juniors while the rest of us walked over to the senior section. Ronnie walked over to the basketball team, Idris went to sit off on his own, leaving me with Tay.

"Relax Carter, that nigga Xion will show up eventually...." Tay said and I nodded, it' weird to think that when we first met I had to beat his ass but now we're coo as fuck and since Tino left he was the person I was closest to besides Ronnie. The more people started to show up the faster my heart began to beat and by the time or principle began talking I had decided that Xion wasn't coming.

"Damn they really fucked up putting us all in the same homeroom." Antwan said as we walked down the hall and honestly, this was the first bit of good news I got all day; me, Tay, Ronnie, and Antwan all in the same homeroom and our first three classes were all the same. We were walking down the senior hallway saying wassup to a couple people we were coo with when outta nowhere my pants were around my ankles and like always I wasn't wearing any drawers, normally I would've been pissed but I knew there was only one person who was crazy enough to pull a stunt like that. I turned around and the second I saw him standing there with that playfully innocent smile on his face, my dick started getting hard and so I quickly pulled my pants up and pulled him into the bathroom where a group of dudes were having their pre-class blunt.

"Xi where the fuck have you been? Why haven't up been answering my calls? What the fuck happened that made you cut me off? Was it something I did? When did you get back? Why are you crying?" I asked in rapid succession.

"I just Carter I gotta tell you something.... don't interrupt just let me talk. When I was in Atlanta, Lavercier had to go to practice and left me with one of his teammate's brother, when I was there this dude he gave me something and when I..... I didn't mean to, I didn't cheat on you but he....." Xion said and I instantly knew what he was saying and I felt my heart breaking. I wanted to kill somebody, see earlier I wanted to go to Atlanta to find Xion now I wanted to go down there and kill this nigga whoever he was, but my anger was secondary, right now I needed to reassure my dude that what happened WAS NOT his fault; after what Ronnie went through I knew the only thing Xion needed right now was my support.

"Xi it wasn't your fault, okay? It was whoever that sick ass nigga... but is that why you haven't been answering my calls?" I asked.

"I couldn't deal with the guilt.... and I was hiding it from my brother so I was more focused on dealing with my own demons and making sure that nothing was wrong with me." Xion said quietly. "I'm good but still I didn't want to say anything until I knew 100%." Xion said, I wanted to continue this conversation and tell him about everything but the bell rang so we'd have to continue it during lunch or something.

My first three periods were.... well I slept through them so I really didn't know what they were about but as I was on my way to P.E. I just so happen to be walking past the classroom where I had Microeconomics when I saw this ol' bullfrog in the face ass nigga pushing Xion.... The next thing I knew I was sitting in the vice principle's office, needless to say, I got suspended.

"Mr. Prince I gave you a pass last year given everything that happened but you're a senior so I'm going to hold you to the highest standard. I'll see you in ten days, make sure you stop by all your classes and pick up your school work for those days because I would hate for you to fall behind." Mrs. Abrams said nodding to the security guard, as he escorted me out the office I caught a glimpse of the dude I fought and smiled, his face was fucked up and I didn't feel bad about it because he shouldn't have put his hands on Xi. Since I had some free time I drove across town to see Corrina, it had been almost a day and I was missing my daughter like crazy and now that I knew Xion was, for the most part, okay I could relax a little.

"Why is my daughter crying?" I asked walking into her daycare center and the second she saw me her cries intensified, until I picked her up. "Ayy I'm taking her for the rest of the day, I said as they started gathering her belongings. I started to put Corrina in the Yukon and decided to go back to the school, I knew Tay had a free period coming up so I was going to have him drop me off and take the Yukon back to school so I didn't have to get up. I got a block away from school when I was pulled over.... by like five cop cars. "Yo what the fuck..... AYYY!!!!" I yelled as I was ripped from the car and tossed on the ground.

"We got a report that this car was stolen." One of the officers said with his knee in my neck as he handcuffed me.

"THIS FUCKIN CAR BELONGS TO THE GROUP HOME I LIVE IN!!!" I yelled as grass and dirt filled my mouth. I was heated but instantly my anger turned into fear as they took my daughter's car seat out the back seat. "AYY GET THE FUCK OFF MY DAUGHTER!!!!" I yelled trying to get free.

"STOP RESISTING!!!!" The officer said before this indescribable pain ripped through my body. The next thing I knew I was being tossed in the back seat of the cruiser and my only concern at the moment was my daughter, I looked around to see where the fuck they had taken her when my eye caught the name of who had reported the car stolen: ABIGAIL GRANT...............
